Design.com’s 2-Year Growth: Key Findings
Australia-based AI design platform Design.com has reached a significant milestone.
After just two years since launching in December 2023, Design.com has recorded an annual recurring revenue (ARR) of USD ~33.5 million (AUD 47.8 million).
This impressive feat represents an 81% year-over-year growth rate through November 2025.
Design.com’s growth has been fueled by rapid product expansion and broader global expansion through the launch of new languages.
It has gained strong traction among small businesses and entrepreneurs drawn to its AI-powered creative tools.
“Design.com’s growth means it is now the primary brand for our Australian parent company, DesignCrowd, with combined sales across our brands now approaching AUD 100 million per annum,” says Alec Lynch, Founder & CEO of Design.com.

Platform Expansion Fuels Growth
Since launching in December 2023, Design.com’s success can be attributed to many key offerings, some of which include:
- An ever-expanding suite of generative design utilities featuring more than 50 design tools, including an AI logo generator, AI website builder, AI business card maker, and others.
- The introduction of several new products in the last year, including a digital business card generator.
- A large library of over 1 million design templates (including the world’s largest library of logo templates) which Design.com combines with advanced AI.
- Launching new languages to support small businesses in German, Spanish, French, and Portuguese markets. In doing so greatly boosted accessibility and adoption in key markets.
“Design.com’s growth has been powered by great product which has allowed us to tap into growing global demand for online design and AI design,” Lynch says.
The Rising Cost of Corporate Identity Development
With web design and corporate branding constantly evolving, marketers find themselves allocating a significant portion of their budgets every year for fresh assets.
According to insights by WebFX, web designs can cost anywhere from $1,000 all the way to $30,000, depending on the size and scope of the project.
Similarly, a full branding strategy, inclusive of messaging and an extensive library of assets, can cost in the range of $20,000 to as much as $100,000, or more, for more complex projects.
“AI is revolutionizing how entrepreneurs start and run businesses - and AI design is providing entrepreneurs a cheaper, faster and better solution when it comes to branding and design.
“Design.com offers free design for for everything from logos to websites while our premium features only cost a few dollars per month and gives you all the design you need to launch and run a business,” Lynch says.
AI Tools Shift from Experimental to Operational
As the use of AI tools becomes increasingly mainstream, a growing number of organizations are moving from utilizing AI for simple pilot projects to broader deployments.
According to McKinsey’s The State of AI in 2025 report:
- 88% of organizations use AI tools in at least one business function, up from 78% last year.
- 62% are experimenting with AI agents
- 23% have scaled at least one AI agent within their operations.
- Only about 33%, or one-third, of organizations have broadly scaled AI tools beyond initial pilots.
The Future of AI Design
As AI tools become more widely adopted and budgets become increasingly tighter, platforms such as Design.com will become instrumental drivers in organizational success and continuity.
“Entrepreneurs care about design and branding and they love using AI. Design.com is focused on building the number one AI design platform for entrepreneurs. We see tremendous opportunity to grow Design.com in a number of directions from here” Lynch says.
Design.com’s performance in its second year is a clear testament to its accomplishments in a competitive AI landscape.
It also highlights the growing demand for AI design tools that are high-quality, easy to use, affordable, and able to offer something unique and differentiated from the competition.
