Additionally, Meta is enhancing its text-generation capabilities and introducing the option for text overlay directly on generated images.

The initial launch will be in test form without watermarks.

However, the tech giant's Head of Monetization John Hegeman said that the company aims to roll out the tool globally by the end of 2024. Notably, Hegemen adds that Meta is still refining guidelines for labeling ads and will share them before the official launch.

The latest features were first announced by the Zuckerberg-owned company in October 2023 but were rolled out to only a small group of advertisers.

More Meta's Features Are On the Way

Meta also announced its plans to introduce enhanced text features by year-end, utilizing the Llama 3 large language model (LLM) to replicate a company's past advertising style.

Furthermore, advertisers will also be able to use text prompts to customize image variations in the coming months.

The recent developments come as Meta continues to invest heavily in generative AI models, emphasizing the potential for advertisers to achieve greater efficiency and effectiveness in their campaigns through its platforms.

Last week, it introduced new AI ad tools during the IAB Newfronts event, including machine learning-powered creator recommendations, image expansion for Reels, reminder ads, as well as multi-destination product ads.
