Hyundai and the Innocean agency are encouraging car owners to make the shift to electric vehicles (EV) in a new futuristic campaign spotlighting its offerings.
On Tuesday, the carmaker launched one 60-second spot and two 30-second broadcast hero spots featuring the IONIQ 5, IONIQ 5 N, IONIQ 6, and Kona Electric — its very own lineup of EVs.
In the main ad titled "Bigger, Better, Faster, Smarter," viewers are treated to a visual delight, with neon-colored street lights and buildings brightening the entire town.
Here, the four cars make their way through the streets like a scene straight out of a "Fast and the Furious" film, boasting sleek and vibrant finishes.
After they drift inside leveled parking lots, enter car elevators, and speed through rainbow-colored light tunnels, the spot ends by touting the vehicles as Hyundai's "most electric EV lineup" to date.
Innocean CCO Jason Sperling called the campaign "unlike anything they've created together to date" due to the colors, vibrancy, and supercharged feeling it brings.
"If you haven't considered electric before, we believe this work will make consumers take note. And if you're already EV-curious, we think you'll lean in even more," Sperling added.
Hyundai Shows More Than Style
The latest marketing push from Hyundai ties into its "There's Joy in Every Journey" brand campaign, which aims to let its customers know that it is there for them in all their joyous moments.
Beyond the aesthetic appeal of its futuristic looks, Hyundai also hopes to convince car owners that the benefits of an EV, particularly its charging capabilities and driving range performance, outweigh those of a regular vehicle.
As part of the brand's efforts, Hyundai fans can also expect a music video in partnership with artist and long-time brand ambassador Leroy Sanchez, as well as several "besties"-themed activations with content creators in the coming months.
"While other companies are pulling back on their electrification strategy, we are continuing to reach the EV-curious buyer to show them the compelling design and technology Hyundai has to offer," Hyundai CMO Angela Zepeda concluded.
