YouTube has officially launched its Playables initiative to all users, which sees over 75 games available to play for free on mobile and desktop.
Users can now enjoy popular titles, such as Angry Birds Showdown, Chess Classic, Cut the Rope, Tomb of the Mask, and Trivia Crack, which are part of the current rollout.
The feature was initially offered as a trial to Premium subscribers from last year until March, with a smaller selection of games.

You can play the games on YouTube's Android and iOS apps, as well as on web browsers.
Go to the Explore menu to access the games and share them with your friends by tapping the three-dot icon.
Playables even lets you save game progress and record high scores, encouraging replayability.

The integration of games on platforms that typically aren't associated with gaming highlights tech companies' efforts to attract more users.
YouTube’s latest rollout is a significant step for the video streaming company, positioning itself as a platform for diverse modes of entertainment.
However, this also signals a potential homogenization, where the unique features of each platform become common and expected, leading to an undifferentiated user experience.
