Activision's Call of Duty has officially launched the reveal trailer of its highly anticipated game Black Ops 6 launching later in 2024.

Made together with 72andsunny, the one-minute spot "The Truth Lies" features interpretations of famous politicians like Bill Clinton, Colin Powell, Saddam Hussein, George H. Bush, and Margaret Thatcher sharing cryptic messages of sinister happenings brewing "behind closed doors."

Colored in black and white, the commercial plays into the themes of espionage and deceit commonly used in telling the franchise's story, building upon its rich lore loosely inspired by real-life political events.

"If it's the truth you seek, look in the dark," one says in the video.

The spot ends with the game's key visual and an official date of the game's worldwide reveal.

Beyond the Trailer

Apart from the ambitious trailer, Call of Duty and 72andsunny have extended their marketing efforts outside the realm of traditional digital advertising, incorporating elements of realism with its '90s influences.

Launched on the microsite thetruthlies.com, one cryptic spot showcases a "found footage" style video where Mount Rushmore figures are blindfolded with cloth, spelling out "The Truth Lies."

Another video posted in the company's socials shows a montage of '90s news and television broadcasts inviting viewers to "open their eyes."

Beyond digital, the gaming company launched an activation campaign, placing "THE TRUTH LIES" posters across New York, Los Angeles, and Mexico.

An official trailer for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is set to drop on June 9.
