Erling Haaland, Manchester City's renowned striker, has joined forces with Clash of Clans to bring an epic new experience to fans of the popular mobile game.
The tie-up, which marks the first time the franchise has created an in-game character version of a real-life person, will see Haaland as the "Barbarian King" in a football-themed seasonal event.
The footballer, who is a self-proclaimed long-time fan of Clash of Clans, promoted the special collaboration by starring in an advert.

In the commercial, the Barbarian and his troops come across a newspaper that hails Haaland as the "World's Greatest Attacker." The group then crosses over to the real world and visits the football star in his living room, catching him by surprise.
As they begin to attack Haaland, the Wizard opens a portal into the world of the game, which Haaland walks into, transforming him into a 3D character.
The football star then saves the villagers from invaders, kicks a bomb toward the horde, and leads the charge, closing the spot.
Play as Haaland, or Defeat His Village
Players will be able to use the football star's character all month long as they enjoy several features that include special troop characters and medal events.
Additionally, they will also be given the chance to defeat the striker's village as he defends it from rival clans in a series of challenges.

With over two billion downloads, Clash of Clans saw Haaland's adoration for the game as a golden opportunity to push its seasonal events above and beyond.
"It's been tough to keep this one quiet, but I'm excited to finally be able to talk about this epic partnership with Clash of Clans," Haaland shared in a press release.
"I've been a huge fan of the game for a long time and know everything about it, so to appear as an in-game character is really cool."
Stuart McGaw, Clash of Clans General Manager, shared his excitement over the unlikely partnership.
"When we heard Erling Haaland was a fan of our game and that he wanted to partner with us, it was really a dream scenario," he explained.
"Our team did everything we could to bring him, one of the world's best athletes, into the world of the game so our players could enjoy a truly special moment."
