Winpilot, a new third-party tool, aims to address the growing issue of ads within Windows 11.
Formerly known as Bloatynosy and developed by independent creator Belmin Hasanovic, Winpilot provides users with a simple and effective way to disable unwanted ads across the Windows 11 interface.
With a few toggles, users can disable ads in the Start menu, Personalized ads, Welcome Experience, Settings, and Lock Screen, among others.
Adblock for the Windows 11 UI now integrated into Winpilot. Sounds strange, but it's also unfortunately a strange development on @Microsoft's part.https://t.co/LrKCWINsLl#winpilot#Windows11#Ads#adblock#clippypic.twitter.com/0b1cvtSa5F

The tool utilizes PowerShell scripts to modify registry values, ensuring a seamless ad-blocking experience.
On top of ad removal, Winpilot also serves as a debloater, allowing users to further customize their Windows 11 setup.
The tool's simplicity and effectiveness have garnered attention from those looking to create a cleaner, more personalized Windows 11 experience without intrusive ads, boasting over 15 million downloads.
Winpilot is available for download on GitHub.
Users Complain About Ads on Windows 11
Microsoft’s latest operating system (OS) has drawn much negative feedback from users due to its integration of ads.
On April 23, Microsoft updated Windows 11, enabling Microsoft Store ads to be shown directly on the Start menu. This came despite negative reactions to its testing two weeks prior.
Although these additional ads can be turned off in the settings, it has prompted many users to consider shifting to competitor Linux.
Unless Microsoft recants on their recent crap with 11, Win12 will only have more ads, forced crapware, and bad AI. I've used Windows since 3.1, once my Win10 expires next year I'm moving to Linux once and for all.

"#Windows 10 Reaches 70% Market Share as Windows 11 Keeps Declining — Windows is going downhill... talk of annual subscription and ads in the OS turned me away," @smc_ap1 wrote in an X post.
"The number of apps now available on #linux made me switch ... I'm not coming back Bill," @smc_ap1 added.
The open-source approach used by Hasanovic ensures accessibility for Windows 11 users seeking a solution to the growing ad problem.
Winpilot is available for free, downloadable from its GitHub repository.
