Exceptional design continues to shape how brands communicate, engage, and grow.
This January, DesignRush recognizes the most innovative and impactful creative work across six categories in our monthly Design Awards.
A panel of design experts selected winners based on originality, visual quality, and execution.
These projects show how thoughtful design can build credibility, clarity, and connection across industries.
Best Website Design: Type and Space LTD
Type and Space LTD created a website for energy innovator Voltpile, balancing technical credibility with visual impact through design.
The site uses high-contrast visual cues and dimensional 3D renders to showcase complex battery technology, making abstract engineering tangible for investors and partners.
Interactive scroll features guide users through Voltpile’s story, breaking down technical information into manageable, engaging sections.
"Positioning was well done — complimented the corporate messaging and exemplified the entire process of what the company is all about," said Andrea Owsinek-Brucker, a DesignRush Awards jury member.
The result is a confident, modern digital presence that signals expertise from the first moment a visitor lands on the site.
Best Logo Design: Copa Design
Copa Design developed a logo for former NFL player Vernon Davis that conveys strength, versatility, and athletic legacy.
It combines a football-inspired monogram with metallic accents, creating a design that works across sports, corporate, and lifestyle contexts.
Symmetry and negative space establish balance and memorability, ensuring the logo can scale from social media profiles to physical branding materials.
The finished logo shows how thoughtful visual construction can capture a multifaceted personal brand while remaining adaptable.
Best Print Design: Ricky Stevens
Ricky Stevens crafted a print design system for law firm Anderson Strathern that asserts authority while staying modern.
The triptych layout organizes complex legal content clearly, enhancing readability and client trust.
Custom illustrations of Edinburgh and Glasgow give the materials a regional, human-centric identity while bold typography communicates confidence and professionalism.
"Bold words and strong visuals convey meaning with each nuance. Dramatic meets understated simplicity," Andrea Owsinek-Brucker, a DesignRush Awards jury member, shared.
The combination of structure, quality, and brand storytelling positions print as a strategic tool for high-stakes communication.
Best App Design: Digcy
Digcy designed Jobify with a minimalist, human-centered interface that makes discovering jobs and tracking applications easy.
Card-based listings and a linear progress tracker help early-career professionals understand opportunities and monitor their application stages without cognitive overload.
"The simplicity of the design gives the app a refreshing feel. It does not feel over-designed," explained Mert Erdir, DesignRush Awards Jury Member.
This intuitive design ensures that users remain confident and engaged throughout the job search process.
Best Packaging Design: Gabriel Tarin
Gabriel Tarin’s work for Tambor y Caracol combines heritage-driven illustration with clean, structured layouts to elevate specialty coffee packaging.
Panels guide the eye from brand identity to roast information, while bold color contrasts and cultural storytelling create shelf presence and premium appeal.
"A lovely design that incorporates local artists to express cultural character. It’s unique and really stands out," DesignRush Awards Jury Member Kitty Lai commented.
The design is a great mix of storytelling, function, and visual impact to influence consumer choice at the point of sale.
Best Video Design: Dave Silver
Dave Silver’s short-form video titled "C4 — 'Moments of Black Joy'" centers personal narratives and everyday experiences to create a warm, authentic visual story.
Close framing and naturalistic cinematography immerse viewers in intimate moments, from dance and cooking to community life, without relying on scripted tropes.
“These stories are beautifully executed and are emotionally powerful," Marc Strong, a DesignRush Awards jury member, said.
Letting emotion guide the narrative allowed it to demonstrate how video design can make cultural storytelling relatable and memorable.
Great design should do more than look appealing. It should clarify, connect, and make every interaction memorable.
The DesignRush Design Awards is a celebration of creators who push boundaries and craft experiences that stick.
This month’s winners show us why design matters and why creativity continues to shape business and culture.
