Effective design systems continue to shape how brands connect, inspire, and grow.

This December, DesignRush highlights the standout creative work across six categories in its monthly Best Design Awards.

A panel of design professionals selected the winners based on innovation, clarity, aesthetic quality, and overall execution.

These winners show how thoughtful design can communicate purpose, elevate experiences, and resonate with audiences.

Best Website Design: Above Digital UK

Above Digital’s website for Behave translates a behavioral science consultancy’s complex identity into a clear and image-led digital experience.

Split-screen layouts, minimal typography, and modular navigation create balance, precision, and ease of exploration.

Subtle motion then deepens the narrative by shifting visuals from blurred to sharp, mirroring the firm’s mission of bringing clarity to human behavior.

What is seen on the frontend is a professional services website that communicates focus, credibility, and a modern brand presence rooted in usability.

Best Logo Design: Longhouse Branding & Marketing

Longhouse Branding & Marketing designed a logo for Pinwheel Clinic that balances emotional support with professional clarity.

The pinwheel symbol conveys motion, teamwork, and positive momentum, while overlapping shapes create an approachable and organic personality.

"Many peers are clean and clinical in their branding, with a focus on professionalism and trust.

We want Pinwheel Clinic’s brand to have longevity while still asserting their expertise in their industry," the agency said.

A pastel palette evokes calmness and optimism, while soft shapes and simple illustrations create a cohesive visual identity across signage, print, and digital platforms.

Best Print Design: Dan Highwood

Dan Highwood’s print design for Haines Watts humanizes financial guidance through form, texture, and structure.

Circular and half-moon shapes symbolize progression and evolution, creating visual rhythm across the cover and interior.

Bold numerals and structured layouts set hierarchy, while a matte black cover with embossed white shapes adds tactile contrast.

A restrained palette of black, white, and coral red balances warmth and energy, giving the handbook confidence and approachability.

Best App Design: DigiNeat Smart Technologies

DigiNeat Smart Technologies approached UnitBank’s app as a tool for understanding complex financial processes.

Replacing jargon with plain language also allowed the app to build confidence while simplifying tasks that typically slow users down.

Transparent interactions, including real-time notifications and clear transaction trails, foster trust and predictability.

Lastly, a custom 3D visual system adds warmth and personality, humanizing the banking experience across digital touchpoints.

Best Packaging Design: Black Book Design Collective Ltd

Black Book Design Collective Ltd’s packaging design turns the North Atlantic into a visual story for premium seafood brand Wild Story.

Hand-painted seascapes convey movement and vitality, giving each pack a sense of place and authenticity.

Minimal typography allows the artwork to shine, while metallic details, matte textures, and muted tones add tactility that supports the narrative of freshness and origin.

Consistent design across flavors uses color-coded accents for clarity, balancing shelf presence with artisanal brand storytelling.

Best Video Design: Studio Sean Van Echelpoel

SSVE’s video for Specter captures the essence of riding through quiet European landscapes.

The film balances sweeping wide shots with close-up product shots, emphasizing both engineering and experience.

Natural light, simple motion, and a subdued soundtrack convey the ride’s emotional texture.

The final message, “It’s not about the destination,” frames the film around experience rather than product.

The cinematic work masterfully combines emotion, texture, and design, creating a video that feels immersive and intentional.
