In a press release, Sevigny expressed her excitement to be a part of the brand's new era:
"I have such fond memories of visiting W New York – Union Square back in the early aughts, and it's been so much fun and nostalgic to return back, but with a fresh modern twist at the reimagined hotel."
W Hotels SVP and Global Brand Leader George Fleck also chimed in to describe the hotel's unique spaces as a "dynamic canvas" primed for authentic moments and individual expression, highlighting the brand campaign's role of amplifying the hotel's bold energy as a hotspot for creativity.

Marking a new chapter for the brand, "Hotel Tales" reimagines its elevated guest experience by exemplifying curated design, passion-driven programming, and refined service.
Unique experiences are enhanced by interesting guests, as showcased by the campaign.
By partnering with influencers known for their one-of-a-kind flair, W Hotels positions its brand as a trendsetter and industry leader to a wider audience.
Whatever, Whenever
"The 90s Called" opens with Sevigny speaking to the camera about her favorite experience with W Hotels involving a hotel associate who helped her prepare for the role.
She tells the story of one night during an extended stay when she pressed a special button in her hotel room to call up a signature Whatever/Whenever Agent for assistance.
According to her, a hotel associate showed up to her hotel room only minutes later bearing relics from the 1990s, the period in which her upcoming film was set.
"So I was fully in the era, totally feeling this character. You really had to be there," she says as the spot ends.

Meanwhile, Marakoff's story begins with a 3 a.m. quest to find food after getting late-night cravings.
On her way down to the lobby, she chances upon a tempting tray of food outside a hotel room.
Before she could take a bite, the room door was opened by an attractive young man, who asks her what she's doing.
She ends the story with the campaign's tagline, "You had to be there. But I was there, so I was lucky."
Ziwe's feature, produced in partnership with Vogue, has yet to be released.
Meanwhile, back in October, Hilton partnered with Universal Pictures to give fans a once-in-a-lifetime "Wicked" themed experience.
