Global advertising and media agency VML has announced Eric Campbell as its new CEO for North America, overseeing the agency's 26 offices, driving growth, and enhancing collaboration across the region's diverse operations.
Campbell, who will remain based in New York City, will also continue serving as VML’s Global Chief Client Officer, reporting directly to Global CEO Jon Cook.
According to a news release, his dual responsibility will ensure a seamless approach to client service and business growth both regionally and globally.

Working closely with Global President Mel Edwards, Campbell will also aim to share best practices and innovations between North America and other global offices to deliver maximum value for clients.
VML's most recent appointment comes on the heels of its strong 2024 performance, marked by increased demand for integrated solutions across Brand Experience, Customer Experience, Commerce, and Enterprise Solutions.

Campbell's Path to CEO
Campbell's 25 years of experience with VML saw him drive strategic growth, secure major new business wins, and cultivate strong client relationships for the agency.
Under his leadership, he has helped foster a unified approach to meeting client needs and advancing creativity.
VML Global CEO Jon Cook spoke highly of the new North America CEO, praising his leadership for being "an integral part of VML's growth through many chapters," with his passion for the agency being described as "truly inspiring."
Cook continued, saying VML North America accounts for more than 40% of the company's global revenue, and establishing a dedicated CEO role for this market is a "strategic priority."
This latest appointment marks a huge leap forward for the global creative company, as it continues to take its leadership and capabilities in a key market to the next level.
The agency's creative and strategic achievements in 2024 have also been recognized by the industry, including accolades like “Most Creative U.S. Company” by Cannes Lions, D&AD Agency of the Year, and a top-two ranking in the Effie Awards U.S. VML was also named a "Leader in Commerce Services" by Forrester.
As 2025 begins, agencies are starting to augment their C-suites to prepare for a year of growth and innovations.
