Teslas Will No Longer Have Disney Plus

Tesla will no longer host the streaming platform Disney+ from a number of its vehicles, following Elon Musk's dispute with Disney CEO Bob Iger.

Tesla informed Disney+ last week that the app would be removed from its cars' Tesla Theatre, though a proper reason was not given.

Eventually, it informed the streaming giant that Disney+ would only be removed for those who have not used the app through their Tesla Theatre.

Tesla owners have taken to social media to react to the move, with several calling the decision "immature," and caused by Musk's "tantrum" over Disnepullout out from X.

How Musk's and Iger's Beef Began

Last month, Disney, along with several other advertising decided to pull back from advertising on X (formerly Twitter), following reports that their ads were displaying alongside pro-Nazi content.

Their decisions were largely also influenced by Musk showing support for an antisemitic conspiracy theory which he later on called his "dumbest" social media post ever.

Tensions rose during the New York Times Dealbook Summit, where Musk told advertisers that have opted out of his platform to "go f**k yourself," singling out Disney CEO Bob Iger, who had done his interview in the same event before Musk.

Following the incident, several reports revealed that Musk's platform is slated to lose 40% in ad sales by the end of the year, due to over 200 companies freezing or pulling out of advertising in the app.
