PG Tips casts British actor and rapper Ashley Walters in an uplifting new breakfast spot that invites viewers to take a step back from their daily stressors over a cup of tea.
In the 70-second advert "Rock Solid," Walters converses with another version of himself over breakfast.
Seeing that something was bothering him, he invites his other version to have a cup of PG Tips tea.
"What if I'm not good enough?" the upset Walters ponders.

The motivational version of Walters then provides him with words of encouragement, saying:
"You're one of the bravest people I know. You can do this in your sleep."
"You're as solid as a rock," he adds, as they both take a sip of their PG Tips.
Now believing in himself, the two Walters bumping their fists, ready to take on the day.
The spot, scored by Mercury Prize-winning Ezra Collective, ends with the brand campaign's tagline: "It's not just tea. It's progress."
A Timely Message
Made together with agency CALLING and helmed by award-winning director Sir Steve McQueen, the Lipton brand's spot comes as part of its first major campaign in eight years.
"PG Tips is a legend that’s lost relevance in recent times. Bringing it back with the scale it deserves has been a privilege and the best possible challenge," CALLING Founder and Executive Creative Director Josh Tenser shared in a statement.

Understanding the prevalence of burnout culture among younger generations, PG Tips hopes to encourage viewers to prioritize their health and wellness.
"The promise of the brand is a moment of fresh perspective inside the noise of life. Our progress begins with these humble moments of recovery and reflection. We’re more resilient than we think. It’s a message we need — and deserve — more than ever," Tenser added.
"For a brand that stands for progress, we were blessed to have two heavyweight icons of modern Britain collide in Ashley and Steve — to land this for us in a note perfect film.”
