With NFL cornerback Ga'Quincy "Kool-Aid" McKinstry being drafted into the New Orleans Saints, the brand he is nicknamed after saw a perfect opportunity to drop a new drink.
McKinstry, 21, was nicknamed "Kool-Aid" by his grandmother because he was born with a big smile that reminded her of the brand's iconic mascot the Kool-Aid Man.

Following the draft, the American drink mix announced via Instagram the launch of its all-new "Black Cherry Blitz" flavor. However, this time its packaging heroes the All-American 2023 front-and-center, along with his signature.
After the announcement, McKinstry himself took to social media to announce his collaboration with Kool-Aid as an official partner.

Kool-Aid Parks 'OH YEAH' Trucks Outside Superdome
Kool-Aid promised to have a welcome sign for McKinstry, and it delivered.
Jumping on the draft season hype, the all-American beverage brand has brought its marketing efforts to the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, with mobile billboards for fans of the sport to see.
The out-of-home (OOH) activation kept things simple, with nothing but "OH YEAH" written on the board slapped against an all-red backdrop.

In the back of the truck, it writes: "Drafting Kool-Aid? OH YEAH!"
Kool-Aid's mobile billboards will also roam around the French Quarter and the Smoothie King Arena to welcome McKinstry to his new team.
