Fast-food chain McDonald's is celebrating the holidays by unveiling a new seasonal drink.
Helmed by full-service advertising agency Alma, the campaign sees the introduction of the "Dulce de Leche Frappe," an iconic flavor loved by the Latino community.
The latest effort is marked by a spot starring Netflix's "One Piece" star Iñaki Godoy, as he introduces the drink inspired by the confection known by many names.
Apart from the spot, the Golden Arches company and Boden PR also launched its first-ever "out-of-home video" showcasing the different names of Dulce de leche and inviting everyone to enjoy it while it lasts.
With all its names and aliases, it's clear that dulce de leche is a sweet treat loved by the world — so much so that McDonald's had to turn it into a frappe.

In a statement, McDonald's invited fans to "enjoy the flavor that speaks their language in a uniquely sweet way, reminding you that no matter what you call it, it’s a Dulce de Leche Frappé at McDonald’s."
The new initiative from the brand and agency takes a unique angle in promoting a seasonal beverage.
By focusing on the many names of Dulce de leche, McDonald's brand marketing strategy caters to all sorts of audiences, no matter what they call the confection.
The creative campaign also underscores the value of partnering with a reputable advertising agency.
This isn't only relevant when getting celebrities as endorsers but also in ensuring businesses put out quality and engaging content that the target audience can relate to.
Dulce de Leche's Many Names
The one-minute spot starts with Godoy in the production studio, shooting the new McDonald's commercial. He introduces the new drink, however, calls it the "Arequipe Frappe" instead.
He is then corrected by the director, who says it should be called the "Dulce de Leche Frappe."
In response, Godoy says it was the teleprompter that wrote "Arequipe" instead of "Dulce de leche."
The rest of the production team chime in on the confection's name, calling it how they would call it from where they're from.
The room gets into a heated argument, discussing the origins of Dulce de leche's true name before a man calms everyone down to resume the shoot.
In the final sequence, Godoy requests for a "popote," before he is asked if he meant "sorbete," as the commercial ends.
Previously, McDonald's teamed up with streamer Kai Cenat to introduce the new "Chicken Big Mac."
