Fight fans, Tom Aspinall has news — and no, it's not the fight with Jon Jones. 

Sportswear brand Champion has tapped the UFC interim heavyweight champion for its latest campaign, reflecting a deeper partnership between the two.

The collab kicks off with the "HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION" capsule collection.

It's a range of apparel that combines Champion’s century-old sportswear heritage with Aspinall’s fighting prowess and cool, no-nonsense mindset.

Designed with the British fighter, the capsule features lifestyle-inspired athletic wear grounded in performance, aligning with Champion's brand identity. 

"Champion’s values really reflect who I am and what I want to do in MMA. I’ve always said I believe I can transcend the sport into the mainstream," Aspinall said in a press release.

"And we’re not just creating gear — we’re making apparel that works for fighters and inspires the next generation."

Meanwhile, the brand’s EMEA President Lorenzo Moretti said the partnership with "an elite athlete at the top of his game" felt natural from day one.

The HEAVYWEIGHT collection is more than a one-off drop.

Champion and Team Aspinall are also working on a full training line that’s set to launch later this year, based on real insights from one of MMA’s most efficient fighters.

A Capsule for Champions

The HEAVYWEIGHT collection includes heavyweight fabrics, functional details, and neutral tones that echo the clean, precise style Aspinall brings into the ring.

At the center of the capsule is the iconic Champion’s Reverse Weave hoodie reimagined with the heavyweight's stellar performance in mind.

One detail that stands out across the line is the “00.02.02” timestamp, a nod to Aspinall’s average fight duration.

Known for his speed and precision, the detail turns brutal efficiency into a wearable badge of honor.

The collection is now available on Champion’s online store, giving fans and athletes alike the chance to suit up in gear made for movement and built to last.

Our Take: So, No Fight News?

Surprisingly, not everyone was excited about the new partnership between Champion and Aspinall.

This is because the teaser Aspinall posted led many to believe it would be a fight announcement instead of a clothing drop. 

With the fighter being the longest-reigning interim champion in UFC history, many wait in eager anticipation for when he will fight current UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones.

While no announcement has been made yet, Aspinall quickly disclosed that his "heavyweight news" had nothing to do with his imminent championship fight, as only the UFC could announce his bouts. 

"UFC announce my fights guys not me," he commented on his own teaser reel. 

Did this water down the Champion collab announcement?

I don't think so. Maybe it did disappoint some fans, but it did draw attention to the new collection.

Now, Aspinall's fans have something to wear if and when the Jones fight happens. 

Meanwhile, Hurley recently chose Blink 182's Travis Barker to spearhead its first-ever global brand ambassador campaign.
