Supercell's chart-topping mobile game Brawl Stars has just launched a new campaign featuring a brand-new Disney/Pixar-themed makeover.
To mark the holidays, the game is teaming up with the fan-favorite "Toy Story" franchise to bring fans new skins, game modes, and even the Pizza Planet Arcade.
The collaboration also sees Star Command's very own Buzz Lightyear joining the world of Brawl Stars, marking the game's first-ever playable crossover character.
From December 12 to February 5, all players can log in to play the legendary Space Ranger in three battle modes that reference some of the character's most iconic moments throughout the film series: laser, wing, and saber mode.

Meanwhile, many familiar faces from "Toy Story" will also show up as exclusive in-game costumes, with Colt, Bibi, and Jessie suiting up as Woody, Bo Peep, and Jessie, respectively.
In a press release, Brawl Stars General Manager Frank Keienburg highlighted the perfect match between the two brands, both of which contain the essence of teamwork and forming connections:
"And just like when Buzz Lightyear first arrives in Toy Story, there can be rivalry and competitive tension in our game, but that mostly leads to respect and friendship once the dust has settled.
It's awesome to team up with Disney and Pixar and especially cool to drop Buzz Lightyear as our first-ever playable character who is not part of the Brawl Stars universe, and to make him available for a limited time."
Disney & Pixar Games VP and GM Luigi Priore chimed in to single out Buzz Lightyear as the most fitting character to make the jump into the Brawl Stars universe.
Brawl Stars is one of the most successful mobile games on the market, with over 1.3 billion downloads and $2 billion in lifetime revenue.
Top game development companies need to take a page out of Supercell's book.
By teaming up with the world-famous "Toy Story" franchise, the two properties have formed a massive brand partnership that scales both of their audiences, increasing visibility, recognition, and loyalty.
Toy Takeover
To take the celebration a step further, Brawl Stars is launching a brand new pop-up on January 2 that will bring a whimsical makeover to Starr Park.
The special event will transform the game's theme park setting into the Pizza Planet Arcade, inspired by the iconic fictional restaurant chain from the film.
In this new stage, players can play three limited-time gameplay modes to collect Pizza Slices that can be traded in for Toy Story-themed cosmetics, like pins, icons, or even a new Brawler.

Meanwhile, a one-minute launch video to mark Buzz's arrival begins with the beloved toy emerging from a shipment box to explore the "uncharted territory" of a toy store.
Suddenly, he's ambushed by Colt, who he mistakes for Woody. As the gunslinger opens fire, Buzz is surrounded by Bibi and Jessie, both in their toy costumes.
The three Brawlers chase him down, continuing the clash while making multiple references to the films.
It ends with Buzz saving Colt after he falls off a high table, prompting the two to team up.
Back in September, Supercell launched a campaign for Clash Royale starring the 2017 World's Strongest Man, Eddie Hall.
That same month, the game developer tapped John Cena to promote a collaboration between Brawl Stars and SpongeBob Squarepants.
