Sullenberg Aviation Museum is giving a whole new meaning to "head in the clouds" in its latest marketing effort.
The establishment's "Airheads Welcome" campaign celebrates its new branch in Charlotte, NC, with hilarious spots welcoming airplane enthusiasts to visit.
In the 30-second "Pop Fly," a young girl on the baseball pitch spaces out in the middle of a game, missing the ball.
"You missed it," the pitcher tells her.
However, she claims that she did not, as she looks up to the sky, now with a literal cloud above her head.
A plane starts to circle the miniature cloud, as the boy calls the attention of their parents by the bleachers.
But to his surprise, they also have clouds with planes over their heads.
The commercial ends with the mom and dad bumping fists, as the screen reads: "airheads welcome."
Inspiring the Next Generation
Made together with agency Luquire, the new campaign aims to establish Sullenberger Aviation Museum’s brand new visual identity tied to its mission to inspire new pioneers of aviation.
"The Sullenberger Aviation Museum will rank as one of the world’s leading institutions honoring and exploring the wonder of flight," Tim Miller, Sullenberger Aviation Museum's board chair said.
Furthermore, Miller emphasized the company's efforts to welcome everyone inspired by the power of flight, encouraging them to learn the endless possibilities of aviation.
Meanwhile, Luquire President Stephanie Spicer expressed excitement over the agency's partnership with Sullenberger Aviation Museum, and for working together on a campaign that speaks to the "ongoing enchantment and wonder of flight."
"By taking a spin on the word 'airhead' this platform aims to reach out to those who are curious about the world of aviation and push the limits to innovate in the field," she concluded.
