KFC is back with another awesome partnership, this time with renowned basketball player, Purdue Boilermakers' Zach Edey.
The "Big Ten Player of the Year" starred in a series of spots that aimed to spotlight the $4.99 box meal of the fast-food restaurant.
In the 15-second "Draft Day," a man tries out the new offering that consists of two Original Recipe fried chickens, mashed potatoes, a biscuit, and a drink.
After a series of mouthwatering close-ups, the scenes were revealed to be coming from a commercial Edey had been watching with his friends.
"Son of a bucket that's a good deal," the basketball star says as he stands up from the couch.
His cell phone rings to signify that the "pick is in" during Draft Day, closing the spot.
"Warm Up" starts with the same food shot sequences, but this time, viewers are taken to the basketball court where Edey is getting ready for a game.
"Son of a bucket that's a good deal," he says again.
Shorter six-second spots such as "Good Luck" and "Juicy" show shots of the seven-foot-four phenom chowing down on some KFC fried chicken.
The spots made their debut during the 2024 NBA Finals match between Dallas Mavericks and Boston Celtics and quickly became viral.
Fan of the Bucket
The latest from KFC serves as Edey's first professional endorsement deal, who himself has pronounced his love for the brand.
"KFC is something I have really good memories of when I was a kid," the Canadian player shared.
"My family on my mom’s side used to do picnics. One of my aunts would always bring a big bucket of chicken. I've always had fond memories of that."

Due to Edey's Canadian status, the series of spots had to be filmed within the country, with the crew spotted filming scenes in Toronto several weeks ago.
The marketing initiative also comes a week before the scheduled NBA Draft, which will take place on June 26 and 27.
The "National Player of the Year" awardee is anticipated to be a first-round pick, with a "draft range" between number nine and 19, according to ESPN's NBA Draft Analyst Jonathan Givony.
