WhatsApp partnered with the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula 1 Team to release a short film about Lewis Hamilton’s journey, showcasing how "the right message sent at the right time can mean everything."
“Push, Push” captures Hamilton sitting down with a group of teens as they tell each other stories about the challenges they faced in achieving their dreams and how communicating and connecting with people pushed them to do their best.
The emotional short film sends the message that messages of support, no matter how small, can create a meaningful impact, even to a seven-time world champion.

The 11-minute film, which premiered at the U.S. Grand Prix in Austin, was helmed by creative agency Modern Arts, directed by Jason Harper, and penned by Alex Russell.
As part of the campaign, WhatsApp also released a video with three-time Olympian and two-time World Champion fencer Miles Chamley-Watson, who joined Hamilton during the launch of "Push, Push."
In it, he shared details of his own journey with WhatsApp and how he and Hamilton have remained “besties” by staying connected through the mobile app.
"To have people that make you feel like yourself is honestly priceless," he said in the video.

WhatsApp's partnership with the F1 team includes the creation of the Mercedes-AMG WhatsApp Channel, which has since gained over 6.5 million followers.
The release of the emotional film follows this success, using brand storytelling to send its message to its target audience while highlighting the importance of relationships and staying connected.
A Simple Message Can Mean Everything
Hamilton’s short film opens with a dramatic portrayal of the F1 racing scene, depicting the successful moments throughout his career.
However, he also faced some setbacks, causing him to reflect on his journey.
He sits down with a group of teens striving to move toward realizing their dreams to share the lessons he’s learned along the way.
One of them asks: “What was it like, when you were a kid, all of your dreams — they seem like they’re not achievable?”
Hamilton describes how his dream seemed far-fetched as he grew up poor, watching all the documentaries on racing legends and thinking, “Why can’t that be me?”
Throughout the film, key emotional moments are highlighted in a WhatsApp chat, in which users ask each other for support and connection.
Hamilton singles out one particular message that he would receive from a certain friend. Before each race, he would send, “Good luck brother!” via WhatsApp.
“Those little things mean so much, especially when I’m struggling,” he shared.
The film ends with Hamilton back on the track, reminiscing about his most memorable win, with the message:
"Good days or bad days, I know that I can lean on the people that are around me. They are my fuel.
No matter where we're trying to go, we're going to get there if we go together. Remember that and nothing can stop you."
Earlier this year, "WhatsApp gets the family group chat back together" was released, reuniting the cast of the popular sitcom "Modern Family" and showing how they get in touch with their kids.
