Tequila CAZADORES is taking fútbol fandom to the next level with the help of Cristo Fernández.
This summer, the award-winning tequila brand has partnered with the actor and former player to launch a fan-first campaign.
This initiative centers not on the stars on the pitch, but the supporters in the stands, bars, and living rooms around the world.
“Whether fans are watching from the stands, their neighborhood bar, or their own living rooms, we wanted to give them a way to enjoy the game with spirit — literally and figuratively,” Jay Needham, global senior brand director for Tequila CAZADORES & Agave, said.

Meanwhile, Fernández expressed his belief that fútbol is not only a sport but also a means to express oneself and their passion for the game.
"To team up with a brand like Tequila CAZADORES, which shares those same values and deep Mexican heritage: ¡Es un auténtico honor!"
At its core, the campaign aims to capture the cultural significance of fútbol while revving up the spirit of Mexican hospitality.
With match days now often doubling as social events, CAZADORES taps into the emotional connections fans form while cheering for their teams.
From the sound of the whistle to the first sip of a celebratory drink.
Bringing the Game Home
The collaboration features a limited-time “Fan Fútbol Kit” inspired by the energy of match day and the brand’s Jalisco roots.
The kit includes everything fans need to host or attend a spirited watch party with their fellow sports fans.
Its centerpiece is a streetwear-style jersey co-designed by Fernández and indie football kit brand Icarus FC, with bold visuals that nod to Mexican culture and the pulse of modern fútbol.

The kit also includes a ReserveBar gift code, custom glassware, match-day snacks, a branded rally scarf, and even a referee-style whistle.
To top it all off, fans receive a message from Fernández himself, along with his personal hosting tips and a custom cocktail recipe using Tequila CAZADORES.
“El Golazo” is a bold, tropical cocktail co-created with the brand as a tribute to the thrill of scoring a spectacular goal.
Made with Tequila CAZADORES Reposado, pineapple juice, jalapeño slices, and a salted rim, it’s designed to bring a celebratory kick to any match-day gathering.

The Fan Fútbol Kits are now available in Los Angeles, New York, Dallas, San Francisco, and Chicago.
They will also be awarded daily throughout the season in select cities via online entries, turning everyday fans into VIPs without a stadium pass.
Our Take: Is Athlete + Alcohol Brand the Winning Formula?
For CAZADORES, this campaign is more than just selling tequila.
It’s about enhancing the fan experience through thoughtfully curated moments — or in this case, kits.
The entire sports and spirits package co-branded with Fernández reflects the brand’s ongoing commitment to honoring tradition, even as it embraces new and younger audiences.
Furthermore, Fernández's history as a fútbol player and his cultural ties make him more than a celebrity endorsement.
CAZADORES proves to us that when you do it right, celebrity-led campaigns can both boost visibility and help brands authentically connect with the culture and communities they aim to serve.
