Website builder Squarespace has confirmed its 11th consecutive Super Bowl appearance with a 30-second ad set to air between the first and second quarters on February 9.

Known for its standout creativity and empowering entrepreneurs, this year’s campaign promises to surprise and inspire viewers.

The campaign, developed entirely by Squarespace’s in-house creative team, continues the brand's tradition of combining innovative storytelling with a commitment to design excellence.

Past collaborations have featured iconic talents such as Martin Scorsese, Adam Driver, and Zendaya, showcasing Squarespace’s dedication to delivering memorable and culturally relevant advertising.

In a statement exclusive to DesignRush, Nate Skinner, senior director of brand and creative strategy at Squarespace, emphasized the unique opportunity the Super Bowl provides:

“There are very few chances to participate in a cultural moment where people genuinely want to watch advertising — of those moments, the Super Bowl is certainly the largest. We use it as an opportunity to share what our brand stands for and to surprise audiences with our creativity.

This year’s ad aims to inspire viewers to turn their business dreams into reality, reinforcing Squarespace’s reputation as a leading platform for entrepreneurs to build and grow their online presence.

A Tale as Old as Websites

Squarespace has unveiled its full commercial featuring actor Barry Keoghan and the donkey, Don Mosley.

The spot opens with Barry and Don relaxing inside a cozy home in a peaceful open field, watching the teaser for the ad.

Barry playfully teases Don about his newfound Hollywood fame, suggesting he’ll need a publicist and agent.

When Barry asks if Don has a website, he quickly logs onto Squarespace and begins building one for him, demonstrating the simple, user-friendly process of creating a site from the comfort of home.

As Barry finishes up, he humorously puts away a crumpled piece of paper that Don tries to eat, joking that Don might need to go on a diet.

Initially, Squarespace unveiled a 15-second teaser, featuring a man riding a horse to the sound of what appears to be Scottish bagpipes.
