As a fashion industry leader in sustainability, Puma has announced the launch of its podcast series “Re:Gen Reports.”
The sports brand’s’s podcast is the first of its kind in the industry and uses its 2022 Sustainability Report to bring the importance of sustainability closer to its fans in an easy-to-consume format.
“Re:Gen Reports” will feature next-generation thinkers from six countries across 10 episodes. The first three will be available for free on all major podcast platforms on June 1.
Following its 2022 Sustainability Report, every episode will cover one of Puma’s 10for25 sustainability targets and feature guest speakers “from industry bodies, businesses, and NGOs that push brands to ensure more sustainable practices are in place and monitored.”
“We believe in collaboration, when it comes to sustainability, whether it is NGOs, brands or consumers, especially young people, who will have to live with the decisions made today,” stated chief sourcing officer at Puma, Anne-Laure Descours, in a blog post.
The creation of the podcast, as well as Puma’s recently launched "Voices of a Re:Generation" project, was inspired by the company's "Conference of the People" last year, where the brand received feedback on Gen Z thinkers’ positions aroundsustainability in the fashion industry.
“A sustainability report as a podcast has never been done before in our industry, but we believe it is an important step to connect with GEN-Z audiences and open up these important conversations,” added Descours, reflecting on last year’s “Conference of the People.”
The first three episodes of “Re:Gen Reports” will tackle human rights, the issue of chemical use, and circularity in production processes.
