How Much Did MrBeast Earn From His X Post?

Jimmy Donaldson, more commonly known as MrBeast, announced via X that he has earned $250,000 in revenue for his first video post on the platform.

However, the YouTuber with the most number of subscribers also believes that these numbers are a "facade." 

"Advertisers saw the attention it was getting and bought ads on my video (I think) and thus my revenue per view is prob higher than what you’d experience," he shared.

Similar to his long-form style videos on YouTube, the video MrBeast shared on X compared cars that ranged from $1 to $100 million in price. 

Donaldson's decision to post a video on the app comes after X owner Elon Musk invited him to test X as it aims to become a "video-first platform."

"I’m curious how much ad revenue a video on X would make so I’m reuploading this to test it. Will share ad rev next week," he posted.

As of writing, the post has garnered 51,000 reposts, 458,000 likes, and over 18,000 replies. 

"100M views? Dang lol," the content creator expressed in a follow-up post.

MrBeast Gives Away X Payout

MrBeast created a poll allowing X users to guess how much he would earn from his post. Many have voted that the YouTube star would earn $10,000 for the 124 million views his videos garnered at the time. 

Following this, the philanthropist decided to divide his X revenue earnings to 10 lucky winners. 

"I’m gonna give 10 random people that repost this and follow me $25,000 for fun (the $250,000 my X video made)," MrBeast posted.

Was It An Ad?

Several users reported to spotting a "promoted" banner alongside the post, leading them to believe MrBeast's video was sponsored by X.

While it was never broadcasted as an ad, other small content creators on the platform questioned the sum of MrBeast's payout, comparing it to the amount they personally receive from the platform.
