Mayonnaise brand Hellmann’s is bringing together two rom-com legends and one of today's biggest rom-com stars for its latest Big Game commercial. 

Made with agency VML New York, "When Sally Met Hellmann’s" sees actors Meg Ryan and Billy Crystal reprise their iconic roles from the 1989 film "When Harry Met Sally." 

In the 30-second spot, the two recreate the famous deli scene, celebrating their anniversary at Katz’s Delicatessen and sitting at the same table where they once filmed the classic moment.

When Sally’s turkey sandwich needs extra flavor, she reaches for a squeeze of Hellmann’s mayonnaise — transforming her meal into something so irresistibly delicious that everyone around her takes notice.

Among them is actress and "Anyone But You" star Sydney Sweeney, who then closes off the spot by delivering the legendary line: "I’ll have what she’s having."

"Reuniting with Billy and stepping back into Sally’s shoes was a joy. I’m hoping it’ll be fun for fans to revisit this scene with its (wink, wink) new star, Hellmann’s mayo," Ryan shared.

Meanwhile, her co-star Crystal echoed the excitement, saying the opportunity to return to Katz’s Deli with Meg was a "no-brainer."

"Thanks to Hellmann's, who came up with the concept and wrote a really funny spot, we're bringing some laughs and nostalgia and helping When Harry Met Sally celebrate its 35th Anniversary during the Big Game this year," he added.

The latest spot comes after the brand teased the return of the rom-com duo, where Katz's waitress takes Sally's order, but keeps her a secret from the viewers.

The hero commercial is set to air in the second quarter and caps off a season of creative campaigns from Hellmann’s, including the launch of its mayo-inspired Will Levis No.8 fragrance and the debut of Manny Mayo, its new mascot.

By bringing back two iconic characters from one iconic film, the nostalgic spot paired is sure to be a successful viral marketing campaign, catch the attention of both rom-com fans and Super Bowl viewers.

Bringing the Flavor to the Fans

To celebrate the ad, Hellmann’s has partnered with Katz’s Deli to offer a limited-edition "What She’s Having" Sandwich Package.

Available nationwide until February 9, the kit includes the main ingredients and a recipe card to recreate Sally’s turkey sandwich — complete with Hellmann’s mayo — alongside Harry’s signature pastrami sandwich.

The package, priced at $120 with free shipping, serves four to six people, making it a perfect addition to Big Game watch parties.

Fans can order the “What She’s Having” Sandwich Package now and have it delivered by February 7.

"For our fifth year in the Big Game, we wanted to be as iconic and memorable as the moments and dishes that are part of the final Game Day of football season," said Unilever North America SVP of Marketing Jessica Grigoriou.
