Dunkin' is putting Doctor Doom's mask on a $14.99 Munchkins tin.

On November 4, participating Dunkin' restaurants nationwide will start selling a limited-time lineup tied to Marvel Studios' "Avengers: Doomsday."

The Marvel movie opens on December 18, giving the chain more than six weeks of selling time before anyone can buy a ticket.

The lineup covers multiple Avengers-themed offerings, including six drinks, a trio of bakery items, and the tin.

The brand partnership has room to grow, too.

Dunkin' says more announcements are coming at the top of November.

Two Drinks for Doom, Four for the Heroes

The hero side of the lineup starts with the Iced Captain'ccino, a Captain America-themed drink with espresso, caramel flavor, and coffee milk over ice.

The Clobbered Cloud Latte adds toasted white chocolate flavor, Cookie Butter Cold Foam, and crumbles that reference The Thing's rocky look.

Black Panther inspires the Wakandan Daydream Refresher, a Berry Clementine Refresher with raspberry flavor, oatmilk, and Purple Marshmallow Cold Foam.

Lastly, Cyclops gets the Optic Blast Lemonade with blue raspberry flavor.

Doctor Doom takes the other two drinks.

Doom's Orders Energy uses Green Apple Dunkin' Zero, sparkling water, and Purple Marshmallow Cold Foam.

Meanwhile, the Doom Cloud Latte layers mocha swirl and vanilla flavors under Sweet Cold Foam and cocoa powder.

In the bakery case, the Doomsday Donut revives the Brownie Batter Donut with chocolate icing and green and chocolate sprinkles.

The Avenging Donut is filled with cotton candy and topped with red, yellow, and blue sprinkles that represent the Avengers, X-Men, and Fantastic Four.

Glazed Chocolate and Buttermilk Munchkins also get hero and villain versions.

And perhaps the most coveted item in the lineup is the Doctor Doom 25-Count Munchkins Tin.

It's modeled on the villain's iconic mask and green hood, and fans get it with any 25-count Munchkins purchase for $14.99 while supplies last.

Two of the six drinks run on bases that Dunkin' already stocks.

Green Apple Dunkin' Zero and Purple Marshmallow Cold Foam arrived with the Halloween menu on September 30.

The Berry Clementine Refresher has been pouring since the fall menu rolled out in August.

Reusing existing inventory keeps a co-branding deal simple to execute at nationwide scale.

Release Dates as Menu Deadlines

Disney re-released "Avengers: Endgame" as "Endgame: Encore" on September 25, and the opening weekend pulled $86 million worldwide.

The run has added roughly $126 million and pushed "Endgame" to $2.9255 billion lifetime, ahead of "Avatar" at $2.9237 billion.

Dunkin' is hitching its menu to a franchise that just took back the all-time box office record.

And the chain has been working the same calendar logic all season.

Alix Earle's actual order became Dunkin's "Earle-Y Riser Meal" on August 19.

Her Netflix series "Earle Meets World" premiered two weeks later, on September 4.

This latest "Doomsday" menu applies the same date-driven approach to a studio release.

This approach gives Dunkin' two headline tie-ins in one fall, each with its own countdown.

A few lessons stand out for marketers tying a menu to a film release:

  • Borrow the finish line: A set release date gives a limited-time menu a story to tell week by week.
  • Ground the collectible to a staple: The tin ships only with a 25-count Munchkins order, so the keepsake supports an existing item Dunkin' sells.
  • Give each character a reason to order: Tying drinks to The Thing, Black Panther, Cyclops, and more gives fans a talking point for every sip.

A strong November would hand Dunkin' a repeatable template for its next entertainment brand partnership.

Our Take: Does the Tin Outlast the Campaign?

Nobody keeps a cup for a long time, but a tin shaped like Doctor Doom's mask has a shot at a permanent position on the kitchen counter.

We think this is where the campaign's staying power sits, holding pens and spare change long after the Munchkins are gone.

McDonald's made the same bet in September, when 15 collectible toys, not the food, drove the SpongeBob x One Piece Happy Meal across 66 markets.

A collectible that outlives the promo keeps the brand in the house for months, even years, of free impressions.

Doom may be the bad guy, but he makes a decent houseguest.

Campaigns of this magnitude often require creative partners who can extend one idea across film, retail, experiential, and culture without losing coherence.
