'Ni Perdón, Ni Permiso' Campaign: Key Findings
Quick listen: Dos Equis’ campaign with Fuerza Regida unites music, fashion, and community — in under 2 minutes.
Who says pride can’t be worn?
Dos Equis and Fuerza Regida are taking “Ni Perdón, Ni Permiso” into its next phase with a high-energy hero video and a limited-edition merch drop that deepen the campaign’s cultural impact.
Launched in June, the campaign now moves beyond music into fashion and community engagement.
The new one-minute hero video opens with Fuerza Regida frontman Jesús Ortiz Paz (JOP) delivering a defiant monologue.
Set against quick-cut visuals and a driving beat, the momentum builds to a closing statement that lands like a manifesto:
“La voz bien puesta. Always forward, and if that bothers ‘em, let it. Ni perdón ni permiso.”
The campaign came together through a creative partnership with Complex, a global youth culture and music lifestyle content platform.
Mike Tresvant, Executive Vice President of Brand Partnerships at Complex, shared with DesignRush how naturally the brand, the band, and the moment came together.
“As the definitive platform for youth and music culture, Complex lives at the intersection where authentic artistry meets cultural movement - so when Dos Equis wanted to create something real with Fuerza Regida, being their creative agency and media partner was a no-brainer.”
This release also spotlights the work of Mexican-American designers Jose “IMAGiNE” Trasviña and Bryan Escareño.
The capsule collection of jackets, vests, and tees channels Mexican-American pride through streetwear design inspired by Fuerza Regida’s signature look.

Putting Fuerza Regida at the heart of the campaign seemed like the right choice for Dos Equis.
According to MediaPost, 92% of Hispanic music listeners say music connects them to their culture, and nearly 80% feel proud to support artists who represent their community.
For younger Latin fans, this connection helps explain how they experience identity through music.
Tresvant emphasized the campaign’s role as a cultural statement that connects with unapologetic youth identity.
“What makes this campaign so compelling is that it’s not just another brand activation — it’s a cultural statement.
Ni Perdón, Ni Permiso is a rallying cry for a generation that refuses to apologize for taking up space.
Complex’s deep understanding of Latin youth culture allowed us to bridge Dos Equis’ heritage with Fuerza Regida’s unapologetic energy through custom content, limited-edition merch, and cultural moments that resonate because they come from a place of authentic understanding.”
Fashion for a Cause
The collection also serves a larger purpose, as fans can bid on the exclusive merch pieces until August 19.
The proceeds support the causes of the Mexican American Opportunity Foundation, a non-governmental organization providing education, job training, and community programs across the U.S.

This stage of the campaign spans popular culture, featuring a VIP concert giveaway with a meet-and-greet opportunity with Fuerza Regida.
It also includes a Complex Sneaker Shopping episode with JOP and host Joe La Puma.
For marketers and agency leaders, this collaboration offers a real example of how culturally grounded partnerships can grow into impactful campaigns.
The fusion of music, fashion, and philanthropy draws fans in from different angles and helps brands stay relevant across industries.
Our Take: Can Brands Stay Relevant While Celebrating Authenticity?
For me, this campaign shows how cultural relevance can be tied directly to meaningful community support when authenticity is at the center.
Connecting a product release to a nonprofit with a strong mission strengthens credibility and builds trust with audiences.
Combining philanthropy with cultural activations can extend a campaign’s presence long after the initial launch.

Merchandise, high-profile media features, and fan experiences create multiple points of engagement while reinforcing authenticity.
In my view, brands that commit to this type of cause-driven strategy position themselves to earn loyalty and cultural significance.
In another news, fans can see how Jameson is marking its first summer as MLS’s Official Whiskey with a cocktail kit designed to fuel game day celebrations on and off the field.
Brands that act with intention win over time. These agencies help you build relevance, not just reach.
