Dave & Buster’s is turning its viral Human Crane into a Valentine’s Day gamble.

The eatertainment chain will be hiding five $15,000, 3-carat diamond engagement rings inside its life-sized claw game on February 14 at select stores.

And all it takes to play is $20, a small price to pay for a chance to win this luxurious piece of jewelry designed by Platinum Days.

Valentine’s Day is one of the most popular days to propose, and Dave & Buster’s hopes this unexpected twist will tap into the holiday’s romance while boosting brand awareness.

The Human Crane experience usually invites players to climb into a harness and reach for oversized prizes in a pit of goodies.

To sweeten the lead-up to Valentine’s Day, the chain is also offering its $99 Date Night Duo Deal at all locations Monday through Friday before February 14.

The all-in-one package includes two 90-minute All-You-Can-Play game cards plus a sit-down meal with one appetizer, two entrées, and one dessert.

Dave & Buster’s hopes that this entire experiential gimmick will appeal to couples who want something more lively than a traditional prix-fixe dinner.

What Couples Can Expect

The Human Crane Valentine’s Day experience will function much like the usual game, but as you may guess, with far higher stakes.

Participants are lowered into the prize pit and must grab what they can within a set time.

Alongside usual oversized toys and goodies, a handful of players might just hoist a ring worth thousands of dollars.

Reservations for the Date Night Duo Deal must be made in advance through OpenTable and are limited by availability.
