Canadian bank CIBC's latest campaign promotes the flexibility of its Aventura credit card for travel by showing that, with it in your hands, the world is your oyster, literally.
Developed by creative agency Courage, "The World Is Your Oyster" campaign highlights the various adventures that can be unlocked with the points earned on the travel credit card through a short film directed by Mark Zibert.
The visually stunning one-minute ad released today also includes a 30-second version.

The film starts with a man opening a fresh oyster and how a traveler walking by the sea gets to enjoy its freshness.
Colorful and exciting vignettes then depict how oysters make their way to satisfy the cravings of travelers in different parts of the world.
But oysters are not just delicacies, and the next scenes show how precious pearls are harvested and used as jewelry that makes different occasions extra special.
Johannes Vermeer's "Girl with the Pearl Earring" painting even makes a cameo as it is shown being admired by a woman, who’s also wearing a pair of pearl earrings, in a museum.
All these wonderful travel experiences are interspersed with scenes that show how they were all made possible by paying with the CIBC Aventura credit card.
The spot ends with the message, “With CIBC Aventura, the world is your oyster,” followed by the bank’s tagline, “Ambitions made real.”
OOH Ads Featuring Iconic Landmarks
Along with the short film, "The World Is Your Oyster" OOH ads were also placed in strategic locations across Canada.
Each ad showcases an open giant oyster revealing an iconic landmark that most of us aspire to visit at least once in our lifetime:
- The Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco
- The Eiffel Tower in Paris
- The Churieto Pagoda in Yamanashi, Japan

“Adventure is so necessary for our development and quality of life,” Courage Founder and Co-CCO Dhaval Bhatt shared.
“We wanted to create something that was both a reflection of that commitment and a love letter to what’s possible when you venture out of your comfort zone,” he added.
After watching “The World Is Your Oyster Spot,” it made me want to travel and eat some oysters!

The OOH ads will be installed in airports, bus stops, and other transportation hubs in Canada to maximize their visibility to travelers.
