Boxing Fight Turns Into Dance Battle in Deezer's Latest Spot from BETC

Audio streaming platform Deezer just launched a unique new commercial that melds the sport of boxing with the art of dancing. 

Produced by creative agency BETC Paris, the spot sees two boxers in the ring duke it out, before the match turns into a full-fledged dance battle complete with "voguing" and "waacking."

Set to the tune of "Boom Boom Boom Boom Boom" by Bonti, "Dance Fight" aims to highlight the transformative power of music and how a beat can make anyone strut their moves.

This latest commercial comes as part of Deezer's ongoing "Live the Music" campaign, which seeks to champion self-expression. 

Deezer CMO Maria Garrido shared her thoughts on the campaign, saying the platform has fully embraced its role as "the catalyst for meaningful self-expression and connection with others through music."

By turning boxers into dancers, the latest from the brand and agency takes a wild yet hugely entertaining turn to get its point across, creating emotional engagement through brand storytelling.

Let's Dance!

Directed by Nogari via Iconoclastet, "Dance Fight" takes viewers to a boxing arena, where a match is ongoing in front of a packed crowd.

Meanwhile, the show's producer in the sound booth takes a call, as her daughter idly sits in the background. 

As the producer leaves the room, her daughter begins to meddle with the sound system, connecting the aux to her phone and playing Bonti's upbeat track via the Deezer app.

The song then echoes throughout the stadium and leads the two boxers to begin dancing to the beat — all while exchanging blows. 

The boxing match then turns into a full-fledged dance battle, with even the judges bopping their heads. 

The spot ends with a knockout and a picture-perfect split from one of the boxers, as the daughter cheers them on from the sound booth.
