Rihanna Sends A$AP Rocky on Diaper Run in New Beats by Dre Spot

Barbadian popstar and actress Rihanna and her partner, American rapper A$AP Rocky, go full parent mode in a new spot promoting the new Beats Studio Pro headphones. 

The one-minute commercial opens with Rocky making beats while wearing his device. Not long after, he is interrupted by Rihanna who asks him to go to the store and buy diapers for their baby.  

After putting on his Timberlands and the premium headphones, the rapper goes on a literal “diaper run” - dodging obstacles as he gets chased down by anonymous men.  

Meanwhile, “Riot,” Rocky’s newly launched single produced by Pharrell Williams, plays throughout the commercial.

The one-minute spot was produced by Rocky’s creative agency AWGE. It also marks the rapper’s directorial debut for a brand commercial.  

Rocky shared that he had been a fan of Beats from the beginning, which is why starring in and directing the commercial had been a “full circle experience” for him. 

“I had a vision in mind for this project and they provided the space for me to zone in and fully express my creativity,” he added.  

The latest Beats by Dre spot is one in a series of commercials that the brand is pushing to promote its headphones.  

Last Monday, Beats by Dre launched a spot entitled “Still Iconic,” where founder Dr. Dre narrates the heritage of the brand.
