Apple is highlighting the tech-savvy capabilities of the iPhone 14 Pro, which includes a 48-megapixel main camera, in a short film titled “Huracán Ramírez vs. La Piñata Enchilada.”
Shot entirely using an iPhone, the 13-minute-long film in Mexico, imagines the return of legendary actor and boxer Huracán Ramírez, facing a new arch-nemesis. Funnily enough, the villain of the film is an evil piñata.
“Huracán Ramírez vs. La Piñata Enchilada” puts just some of the model’s impressive capabilities in the spotlight, including low-light shooting, an ultra-wide lens, slow-motion shots, Cinematic Mode, and Action Mode.
The tech company also released a behind-the-scenes video showing how the short film came to life.
“With Huracán Ramírez vs. La Piñata Enchilada, acclaimed director couple Tania Verduzco and Adrián Pérez, known as “Los Pérez”, set out to modernize the Mexican wrestler movie genre with an action-packed film that can only be shot on iPhone,” cites the video description.
The release of the Mexico-based short film follows a similar Apple campaign titled “The Great Escape,” another action-packed film shot in Istanbul.
Unlike “The Great Escape,” which is being shown exclusively in Turkey, “Huracán Ramírez vs. La Piñata Enchilada” will be released globally.
Although audiences are eagerly awaiting the soon-to-be-released iPhone 15, Apple’s dynamic advertising strategy is here to remind iPhone users that the 14 Pro still has lots to offer.
