Tim Hortons has launched a heartwarming new spot in time for the holidays.
Made together with advertising agency GUT Toronto, the commercial tells the tale of an elderly man named Frank and a hospital nurse, who often brings him a box of Tim Hortons Timbits to help encourage him out of his bed.
It's a short yet endearing story about compassion, and how small acts of kindness can come back to us in ways we don't expect.
Tim Hortons CMO Hope Bagozzi shared his thoughts on the campaign in a statement, saying the company loves to "celebrate the holidays by sharing a moment of reflection with Canadians about what the season is truly about."
"And this year's theme is that 'caring is the gift.' The Tims brand is rooted in supporting communities and giving back and we hope Canadians are inspired by our holiday message to give a little more kindness throughout this season," Bagozzi added.

The newest spot from the brand and agency is up on social media and will debut during select Hockey games this coming Saturday night.
It is a great addition to the string of heartwarming holiday spots that have hit the airwaves in the past week — a tried and tested brand marketing strategy sure to tug on its audiences' heartstrings this Christmas season.
These moving commercials are also proof of why partnering with trusted agencies like GUT Toronto enables brands to really connect with their audiences, bolstering engagement and loyalty.
It All Starts with a Little Bit of Kindness
"Frank & the Nurse" starts with the nurse checking up on her patient, Frank, as he struggles to get out of bed.
"How you doing today, Frank?" she asks him, but he just shrugs her off.
Throughout their time together, the nurse doesn't fall short of showing Frank she cares for him.
To make this even clearer, she gives him a box of Tim Hortons Timbits to motivate him to stand up from his bed and practice walking.
Days go by and Frank grows more fond of the nurse, all while he enjoys Timbits and his health starts to improve.
During one of the nurse's checkups, she notices Frank is no longer in his room.
To her surprise, Frank, who can now stand on his own, has gifted her a box of Timbits, just like she always did.
"Caring is the gift. Happy holidays from Tim Hortons," the screen writes, as the spot ends.
Meanwhile, coffee giant Starbucks launched an animated short positioning itself as a sweet escape from holiday stress.
