Soda giant Sprite just launched a new campaign, teaming up with NBA star Anthony Edwards to put a spin on a classic holiday tale.
The latest efforts are marked by the 60-second spot "'Twas the Night Before Spritemas," which serves as a fun little remix to the classic Christmas poem.
Here, the Minnesota Timberwolves forward stars as "Anta Claus," dunking cases of Sprite onto chimneys to bring the fun to every holiday party this "Sippin' Season."
The campaign shines the spotlight on the Coca-Cola brand's limited-edition Winter Spiced Cranberry and its Zero Sugar counterpart, which were first introduced in mid-October.

In a press release, Coca-Cola Senior Creative Director for Sparkling Flavors A.P. Chaney said the company hopes to build on the momentum of Edwards' meteoric rise to fame as an NBA player and as a member of the Olympic Gold Medal-winning Dream Team.
"The authenticity and unapologetic audaciousness of how he shows up on and off the court — the refreshing reality of who he is — truly embody what it means to ‘Obey Your Thirst.’
We always aspire to team up with talent on the tipping point of culture and, in our effort to recruit a new generation of Sprite drinkers, we couldn’t have found a better partner,” Chaney added.
The latest efforts also mark Sprite's first holiday campaign in three years.
Sprite and its partnership with Edwards first started in 2022, when the brand launched its "New Bottle, Same Sprite" campaign that aimed to tout its soda can's new clear packaging.
With longstanding partnerships, Sprite's brand marketing strategy is sure to give fans of the soda and the NBA star something new to look forward to in the years to come.
Merry Spritemas
The one-minute spot, narrated by female rapper Monaleo, kickstarts at the courtside of a basketball game. Santa, who has an ankle sprain, could no longer tend to his duties this holiday season.
So, Edwards had to step up as a sub, becoming "Anta Claus" to save Christmas.
He began shooting Sprite Winter Spiced Cranberry down people's chimneys, making sure those holiday partygoers who were sick of eggnog had a drink they could enjoy.

We then see Edwards gliding through the skies in a sports car led by eight reindeer, dunking and shooting Sprite's limited-edition drink into people's homes through the night.
"This limited Sprite make the holidays lit. And for once in his life, Ant hit nothing but brick," the rapper narrated.
The spot ends with Ant wishing a "Merry Spritemas to all, and to all a good Sprite."
Earlier this year, Edwards starred in the revival of Grant Hill's iconic "Obey Your Thirst" commercial.
