Peloton just put a pop star's new single behind a treadmill that folds away.

The sports brand has dropped "Let Yourself Run," the next chapter of its "Let Yourself Go" platform, to debut the Peloton Tread Flex, its first foldable treadmill.

Modern Post and DIVISION US created the campaign, with Bethany Vargas directing the hero spot.

Miley Cyrus fronts it, with her new single "Bass Persuades" from her tenth studio album of the same name as the soundtrack.

Cyrus is already a Peloton Member who trains on the Tread, and she explained why the campaign suits her.

"Movement is essential for me, it's something that enhances any performance that I do," she shares.

Notably, the Cyrus-led campaign is the second star-led chapter of the platform this year, following Hudson Williams and the Tread+ in April.

Peloton CMO Megan Imbres said the platform's latest iteration marks a significant change in tone.

"We’re moving away from high-pressure optimization and data obsession towards an era of optimism that celebrates what the body can do."

What Happens on the Tread Flex

In the hero film, the world falls away when Cyrus steps onto the Tread Flex.

She runs and dances alongside Peloton Instructor Adrian Williams, matching the rhythm of the run to the song.

The Tread Flex is made to fit different spaces and routines.

It joins a reworked Tread lineup, including the Tread Vision and Tread+ Vision, for different kinds of runners, walkers, and hikers.

The campaign runs across the US and Canada with cutdowns of the spot on TV, OTT, online video, paid digital, social, and digital out-of-home.

Additionally, a Miley Artist Series lands on the platform in early October, bringing songs from Bass Persuades to Members.

Compact Machines Need Big Feelings

The global treadmill market is set to reach $6.38 billion in 2026 according to Fortune Business Insights, with the residential segment holding 74.55% of it.

Home machines now compete for floor space and daily attention, and Peloton is answering with a folding frame and a soundtrack.

Three ways to apply the same thinking:

  • Debut with a headline release: Launching the Tread Flex alongside a new Cyrus single gave fans a reason to pay attention from the get-go.
  • Extend the launch into the product: The early October Artist Series carries the campaign's music into Member workouts after the media flight ends.
  • Sort the lineup by user: Naming three Tread models for different runners, walkers, and hikers helps shoppers find their fit faster.

Peloton has a star, a soundtrack, and a lineup ready for launch week.

The open question is whether one spot can help shoppers tell three Tread models apart.

Our Take: Will the Treadmills Outlast the Campaign Cycle?

Anyone can sell a treadmill on launch day.

But once months have passed, the machine has to earn its floor space against the couch.

We think a foldable frame and a new single get it through the door, but neither guarantees a second run.

If you were to ask us, the brand should think of ways to make the second run as easy to start as the first, once single has faded from the playlists.

Launch week gets the Tread Flex a home, and the ninetieth day decides whether it stays.
