During the 2024 Met Gala event, American rapper and singer Doja Cat caught a lot of eyes with her outfit just as she was leaving the Mark Hotel in New York City.

With many likening the get-up to Ikea towels, the Swedish home company pounced on the opportunity to make a hilarious spot out of it.

What Was Doja Wearing?

Before heading to the prestigious fashion event, the "Say So" singer sported nothing but a white towel on her head and around her waist with a tag that spelled out "Towel."

The outfit was made by the designer brand Vetements, with creative director Guram Gvasalia even posing alongside Doja as she sported the look.

Garnering tremendous attention from fashion enthusiasts across the world, Ikea launched a spot showing everyone how they can recreate the look with only Ikea products.

In Ikea UK's Instagram post, a woman sports Ikea's new "DÖJA" towel to imitate the pop star — complete with a tag that spells out the product.

"Have you MET the newest addition to our range? Introducing the DÖJA Towel dress," it captioned.

Ikea Canada Joins in on the Fun

Ikea's antics don't stop there.

The company's Canadian social media account doubled down on the jokes with another ad that shows customers the specific products needed to achieve the Doja look — one Stjärnbuske hair towel wrap for $3.99, and a Närsen bath towel for $2.99.

Replacing the artist in the advert is a literal stuffed toy cat — a play on her name.
