To test the abilities of its new Land Cruiser, Toyota has gathered award-winning actress Hilary Swank and actor-comedian Jimmy O. Yang to participate in a thrilling new challenge.
Dubbed the "Land Cruiser Get Back Challenge," the two were dropped off by the automotive company in the middle of nowhere, testing their abilities to make it back using only Toyota's iconic four-wheel.

"I'm excited to be here, but I got to say, I've never been outdoorsy. I have no idea what I'm doing," the comedian shares before embarking on the mission.
As part of the challenge, Hilary will be joined by her friend Deon who will serve as her navigator, while Jimmy will be driving beside his "ever-critical" dad, Richard.
The two teams were also given SAT phones to call for help, but using them would automatically end the challenge.
They then take different routes, one through the mountains and one through the high desert, showcasing the Cruiser's ability to take on different terrains, all while they engage in comedic banter with their partners.
With night falling and the two teams nearly succumbing to using their SAT phones, the bunch sets up camp.
The following day, they go through different obstacles, such as dirt roads and deep snow paths, but ultimately conquer these and find their way back to civilization.
"If you want to go into the wild, any truck can take you. If you want to get back, take a Land Cruiser," the host says, as the commercial closes.
The Go-To SUV for Adventure
Toyota's latest marketing efforts aim to tout the Land Cruiser, first introduced in 1958, and known for being the go-to vehicle for an outdoor adventure.
Made together with Saatchi & Saatchi and directed by Patrick Deluca, the three-minute challenge film aims to prove that it deserves its title.
"Land Cruiser retains its legendary capability, and we are excited for the world to experience the next edition of this iconic SUV," Toyota Marketing Group VP Mike Tripp said.
Notably, the VP thanked Swank and Yang for taking part in the test and demonstrating the Land Cruiser's ability to overcome terrains and obstacles as they find their way back.
Speaking on the challenge, Yang shares, "It wasn’t an easy journey, but it was a great father and son bonding experience that we’ll never forget.”
