Disney gave Super Bowl LIX audiences a sneak peek at its highly anticipated live-action "Lilo & Stitch" adaptation, releasing a teaser featuring the mischievous Experiment 626 causing chaos on a football field.
The remake of the 2002 animated classic stars seven-year-old Maia Kealoha as Lilo, with Chris Sanders returning to voice Stitch.
It also stars Zach Galifianakis, Billy Magnussen, and Tia Carrere, who previously voiced Lilo's older sister Nani.
This latest effort follows earlier previews from Disney, including first-look footage at the D23 Expo in August and another clip in November showing Stitch stomping through a sandcastle.
It also continues Disney's tradition of using the Big Game to generate excitement for its biggest releases.
The film is set to hit theaters on May 23.
Disney's "Lilo & Stitch" Super Bowl teaser taps into viral marketing by inserting the chaotic character into a real-world setting, adding to the campaign's novelty.
This mirrors the original animated feature's trailers in 2002 that put Stitch inside iconic Disney movies, leading to hilarious interactions with other characters.
Chaos on the Field
The Super Bowl commercial sets the longest preview yet, giving fans a better glimpse of the CGI character in action.
A 30-second film opens with a football game in full swing — until Stitch scampers onto the field, hilariously dodging workers who try to capture him with trash bins.
Determined to escape, he burrows through the field and scrambles onto a cart, only to crash into the goalpost and get launched back onto the turf.
The clip ends with Stitch celebrating his antics, letting out his signature laugh against a white backdrop.

The teaser offers a longer look at Stitch's animated design, though much of the footage keeps him moving too fast for a steady glimpse.
Meanwhile, last November, The Walt Disney Company launched a heartfelt campaign to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Sherman Brothers' song, "It's a Small World."
A month later, the entertainment giant launched a holiday ad directed by Taika Waititi.
