Marvel's comic book anti-hero Deadpool stars in yet another entertaining spot, this time for Canadian coffee chain Tim Hortons, just a day before the release of "Deadpool & Wolverine."
Sitting cozy in a plaid robe, the merc with a mouth delivers a meta monologue that pokes fun at the actor behind the suit, Ryan Reynolds.

"Hey, Canada. Thank you for coming over. I just want to let you all know that now that my movie's done and in theaters July 26, I'm giving you back Ryan Reynolds," he says.
Deadpool continues, saying Tim Hortons asked him if Reynolds and the brand could work on something together. Now that he has no use for the actor, he agreed.
"I have to warn you: We sucked him pretty dry," Deadpool hilariously quipped.
Humorous and irreverent, the short spot is a coherent marketing move that references the heritage of the proudly Canadian actor, who goes by @VancityReynolds on X and Instagram.

The ad's release is also quite timely, with Reynolds and co-star Hugh Jackman making an appearance in Toronto yesterday for their film's global press tour.
Continuing a long streak of marketing home runs for "Deadpool & Wolverine," the spot is notably the first Canadian brand to recruit Deadpool.
Will Deadpool Return?
Deadpool seems to be everywhere these days, as Marvel Entertainment goes all out in promoting its biggest film of the year.
Earlier this month, Deadpool and Wolverine were spotted getting into a fight in an ad for Heineken Silver.
Continuing from there, the duo also made surprise appearances in ads for everything from The Bachelorette to Heinz.

Xbox also joined in on the fun, giving away an exclusive custom Deadpool-themed console with cheeked up controllers.
Reception to the nonstop stream of funny commercials has been excellent, with many fans praising the ads that they could actually enjoy.
And beyond the nonstop delivery of laughs, the marketing strategy seems to be working.
As of writing, the Marvel Studios film is set to be the biggest R-rated opening in history, projected to earn $160M-$170M domestically and $340M-$360M worldwide.
Though it's safe to assume that this may be one of the last commercials to star everyone's favorite mutant, it's also likely brands will ride on the franchise's success, and Deadpool may just have a few more tricks up his sleeve.
Marvel Studios' "Deadpool & Wolverine" starts showing in theaters tomorrow, July 26.
