Leading spiced rum brand Captain Morgan has launched its first-ever merchandise drop, making waves with a limited-edition crewneck.
The bold new style was designed in partnership with KidSuper Founder and Creative Director Colm Dillane, as well as Super Bowl champion Victor Cruz.
Initially teased in a cryptic Instagram post earlier this month, the collaboration was unveiled to the public at Grand Central Station in New York City.
Captain Morgan stationed a shipping container on a concourse of one of the world's busiest public transit stations, where Cruz and Dillane opened its doors to give passersby the first glimpse of the design.

In a statement to DesignRush, the KidSuper founder shared some exclusive insight on the process behind creating the merch:
"I've been a fan of Captain Morgan for a while, and teaming up with Victor Cruz — someone who brings style and personality to everything — made this collab even more exciting. The crewneck tells a little bit of each of our stories, but it's also about the spirit we want people to feel when they wear it.
Fashion is like wearing a jersey — there's that instant, unspoken connection when you see someone repping your team and we want anyone who wears this crewneck to feel like they're part of the same crew, sharing that same adventurous spirit the Captain Morgan has."
In a press release, Cruz also shared his lifelong interest in fashion and how he lobbied to be a part of the merch drop.
Additionally, he wants everyone who wears the crewneck to feel like they're part of the crew as well, "sharing in the adventure that brings us all together."
Launched on November 22, the crewnecks are currently available on the KidSuper website.
Merchandise collaborations are an excellent way for two brands to scale their respective audiences and reach new markets. It's a form of brand partnership that fuses aspects of two brands to create something truly special.

The Diageo-owned brand also shared a few more surprises following the drop, including two short video features shot by Complex that take a closer look at the new merch and its creators.
The first video sees Dillane pointing out all the cool details of the garment, including the quality stitching and print.

Another video features Victor Cruz, who expresses his excitement for the collaboration.
He goes a bit overboard, however, dropping some exclusive details that are hilariously bleeped out to prevent spoilers.
Last week, Skrewball Whiskey teamed up with Yung Gravy for a saucy Thanksgiving campaign.
