BTS' RM Named Bottega Veneta New Brand Ambassador

BTS’ very own RM has been tapped by luxury brand Bottega Veneta to become its latest brand ambassador.  

Bottega Veneta Creative Director Matthieu Blazy announced the news on Instagram, where he also shared portraits from the new campaign and congratulated the K-Pop star.

The appointment marks a major milestone for Bottega Veneta as it is the first time for the brand to have a celebrity ambassador.  

The singer-performer also took to his social media to show his gratitude for the partnership. In the post, the BTS star sported pieces from Bottega Veneta’s Spring/Summer 2023 collection, with a plaid shirt partnered with denim jeans and a leather Andiamo bag. “So happy to be a part of the Bottega family!” he captioned. 

A few weeks ago, RM told El País the luxury brand is “different” for him, even when he’s “lost interest in brands.”  

“They don’t use logos, they have a history with weaving and leather, they don’t even have Instagram. They are beyond the buzz,” he added. 

Overall, this is a smart move by the brand, as influencer marketing remains one of the best practices for luxury brand marketing, combining inclusive exclusivity and cultural relevance.

Recently, RM’s BTS bandmates Jungkook, Jimin, and J-hope have also been tapped to become ambassadors for high-profile fashion brands Calvin Klein, Tiffany & Co. and Louis Vuitton respectively.
