Betway has a sponsorship problem that many global brands would like to have.
It simply has too many valuable properties competing for attention.
The Super Group-owned sportsbook brought 27 athletes and sports figures together for the launch of Betway Clubhouse.
The global campaign, created with M+C Saatchi Sport & Entertainment, gives these partnerships a common creative setting.
Thierry Henry serves as Clubhouse manager in the hero spot.
Footballers, F1 drivers, baseball talent, and rugby players appear throughout the same imagined destination.
Betway presents the Clubhouse as a virtual game-day destination where fans gather.
"Betway Clubhouse captures the excitement and passion that our customers experience as sports fans every day, while showcasing the truly global nature of the Betway brand," Super Group CEO Neal Menashe said in a company statement.
Physical activations in London and Johannesburg extend the idea into in-person experiences.
Betway created a repeatable creative container for a large sponsorship portfolio, giving each property a role within one recognizable brand idea.
One Idea Gives Sponsorships More Creative Mileage
The hero film treats Betway’s partners as residents of the same world, with Henry appearing alongside:
- UFC champion Dricus du Plessis,
- MLB All-Star Vladimir Guerrero Jr.
- Atlassian Williams F1 drivers Carlos Sainz and Alex Albon
- Manchester United, Arsenal, and Manchester City athletes
- Springbok rugby players
The campaign was filmed on bespoke sets and without the use of AI.
It took 10 global shoots, including London, Manchester, Nice, and Johannesburg, and was produced by Common People alongside Director Virgil Ferragut.
The effect is closer to a branded entertainment property than a collection of sponsorship ads.
Every sponsorship deal hands Betway rights, talent access, and fan experiences, and the sportsbook needed one creative system to connect them.
"[T]here was a shared ambition to create a brand platform that could match the scale of their global sporting partnerships while putting fans at the heart of the experience.
Betway Clubhouse is the result of that ambition," M+C Saatchi Sport & Entertainment MD Ross Watson shared in a statement.
The platform is designed to run across TV, digital, and outdoor media, plus partner activations and physical experiences.
The brand strategy also gives Betway room to add new sports without having to establish a completely new campaign structure each time.
The structure turns Clubhouse into brand infrastructure, and it makes every future sponsorship deal cheaper to activate.
$1.4 Billion in Revenue Backs the Strategy
Super Group’s financial results put the scale of Betway’s marketing operation into perspective.
Betway generated $1.4 billion in revenue in 2025, up 25% from the prior year.
Its monthly average active customer base reached 5 million, up 15.2%.
Betway’s marketing expenditure rose 11.3% to $293.1 million, although marketing spend as a percentage of gaming revenue fell to 21.7%.
The company is getting more out of each marketing dollar even as the total goes up.
A reusable brand platform is what keeps the percentage falling while the spend climbs.

The Clubhouse offers a useful case study for brands managing global sponsorships:
- Scale demands creative efficiency. Brands should create reusable platforms to extend the value of existing partnerships across campaigns and markets.
- Consistency strengthens brand recognition. Marketers should connect audience channels through a recognizable cue to make brands easier to identify.
- Global ideas need local flexibility. Brands should build adaptable frameworks that reflect regional audiences and sports to keep campaigns relevant.
The opportunity is to make sponsorship investment compound creatively, with each new partnership adding material to an established brand idea.
Our Take: Can Clubhouse Stay Fresh in the Long Run?
Betway spent 10 shoots across four cities to put athletes who normally live in separate sponsorship programs into a single piece of entertainment.
We think that Clubhouse can stay fresh, and only because Betway now owns a bank of talent and settings it can recombine for different markets, sports, and fandoms.

We would watch what happens when a new partner enters the portfolio.
If every athlete gets dropped into the same room with the same framing, the concept becomes predictable fast.
The stronger route gives each new partner a reason to exist inside the world, so Clubhouse gains a character every time Betway signs one.
