Hip hop legend Snoop Dogg announced on Monday that he and his alcoholic brand with fellow rapper and producer Dr. Dre, Gin & Juice, have become the presenting sponsor of the Arizona Bowl.
The multi-year sponsorship deal, in collaboration with media and marketing agency Playfly Sports, will see the annual postseason college football game renamed the "Snoop Dogg Arizona Bowl Presented by Gin & Juice By Dre and Snoop."

This partnership marks the first time an alcohol brand has become the presenting sponsor of an NCAA Bowl Game.
"We are a little different from all the other bowls. We’re not afraid to take risks and do things outside of the box," Arizona Bowl Executive Director Kym Adair told Yahoo! Sports.
"An alcohol brand has always been off the table for us until recently. Everybody in the stadium is drinking a beer or cocktail. It’s time for the industry to evolve," Adair added.
Enhancing the Arizona Bowl Experience
In a short spot posted on social media, the Grammy Award-winning artist explained what drove the brand to sponsor the Arizona Bowl.
“College football fans are exhausted by the constant talk around NIL, conference realignment, coach movement, transfer portal, and super conferences,” Snoop Dogg begins.
“So, it’s time that we get back to the rules of college football — what it was focused on — the colleges the players, the competition, the community, the fan experience, and the pageantry,” he adds.

Snoop Dogg then briefly mentions how he has sent many players to colleges and the NFL through his Snoop Youth Football League (SYFL), making it only natural that he “steps up and gets this thing right.”
The “Drop It Like It's Hot” artist then puts on a white Arizona Bowl hat and officially announces the sponsorship, ending the spot.
The collaboration will also feature pre-game activities in Tucson, including charity events and a "SNOOPER Bowl," where top youth football teams from California and Arizona will compete.
The “Snoop Dogg Arizona Bowl Presented by Gin & Juice By Dre and Snoop” will be held at the Arizona University Stadium on December 28.
