The relaunch is anchored by a limited-edition packaging rollout and an integrated campaign from Le Truc and Apache, directed by Evan Silver.
According to Pop-Tarts VP of Marketing Leslie Serro, the partnership draws from the shared heritage of both brands.
“There’s no better way to welcome everyone’s favorite, blue-suited Super Hero family to the MCU than with the triumphant return of our own fantastically blue toaster pastry,” said Serro.
"Just in time for this summer's must-see movie."
Now available exclusively at Walmart, the blue raspberry pastries come with eight collectible frosting designs inspired by the Fantastic Four's powers and characters.
Other classic flavors are also getting limited-edition boxes with Marvel artwork at grocery stores nationwide. These include:
- Frosted Strawberry
- Brown Sugar Cinnamon
- S’mores

It introduces us to the "FanTASTEic 4," Pop-Tarts dressed as the Marvel superheroes, swooping in to save a man stuck under a turned over car.
However, instead of helping him get out, they give him a bite of the Frosted Blue Raspberry stamped with the iconic Fantastic Four emblem.
"That's fantaste-ic," he says, finishing the Pop-Tart as the spot closes.
Beyond the ad, the snack brand is promoting the film with various live activations, and sweetening the deal with a Fandango tie-in.

Our Take: Can Superheroes Strengthen a Snack Brand?
The mix of nostalgia, pop culture, and exclusive activations is what makes Pop-Tarts' campaign work for me.
It re-energizes interest among longtime fans, and perhaps win new ones, too.
Tying the return of the beloved flavor to a major film release allows Pop-Tarts to embed itself into the moment.
That kind of alignment, when done right, turns a simple product drop into Fantastic fan experience.
