Is caviar on pizza now a thing? Well, Pizza Hut is making it so.
The global fast-food chain is entering haute cuisine with the launch of its "Pizza Caviar" topping.
The first-of-its-kind pepperoni-flavored caviar is designed for dipping, dunking, and "bumping" on pizza.
It also serves as the centerpiece of the limited-time Pizza Caviar Bump Box, a twist on the brand's signature combo meal.
The new offering will include a cheese Personal Pan Pizza with boneless wings or fries, with a small container of smoky, fish-free caviar pearls to act as luxury toppings.

In a press release, Pizza Hut CMO Melissa Friebe shared how on-brand the new combo box is.
"As a brand that's always pushing the boundaries of what pizza culture can be, we saw an opportunity to take one of today's biggest food trends and make it our own.
Pizza Caviar is our way of bringing a touch of indulgence, while staying true to the flavors people love from Pizza Hut."
Available for just three days starting April 10 (from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.) at the 932 8th Avenue Pizza Hut in New York City, fans can expect a bit of gourmet flair with their favorite comfort food.

Pizza Hut proves that what may seem like an absurd idea can work when it aligns with the brand's playful voice.
The secret? Committing fully to the trend while delivering a real product.
It also shows how capitalizing on internet culture with confidence turns novelty into brand equity — especially when the execution is as bold as the idea.
A Bite-Sized Revolution
Inspired by viral "caviar bump" trends, the pearls replicate the texture of traditional caviar but pack a punch of pepperoni.
The Bump Box leans into luxury with its sleek packaging, though the experience stays unabashedly messy and encourages dunking wings or dragging pizza slices through the pearls.
Combining highbrow aesthetics with lowbrow indulgence allows Pizza Hut to create a playful tension that captures attention and invites social sharing.
Bougie like caviar. Delicious like pizza. We’re fusing the two in one Pizza Hut exclusive: Pizza Caviar. All the pizza flavor you crave but in caviar.

It wouldn't be surprising at all if it becomes a sensation, thanks to its uniquely camera-ready appeal.
The stunt follows Pizza Hut's tradition of unexpected and playful food activations, like last year's ranch-autographed pizza with Eli Manning.
For those missing out, Pizza Hut hints at more unexpected collaborations ahead: "Why should fine dining have all the fun?" Friebe teased.
Last month, the pizza chain also launched a campaign during the NCAA Sweet 16 featuring the character, "Peter Zahut."
