Pepsi MAX is upping the ante with a brand-new Christmas campaign in the U.K.
Made by PepsiCo's in-house agency Sip & Bites, the latest initiative is marked by a 60-second spot that aims to show audiences that there's more to Christmas than fulfilling to-do lists.
Set to the classic holiday jingle "It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas" in a rendition by British artist Poppy Ajudha, the commercial shows how things like work, going to the gym, and studying can wait until next year.
It's a simple narrative that encourages everyone to do the things they truly love, during a season that's all about enjoyment.

"As December hits, we know that a lot of things — whether that be work, studying, or working out, can very much feel like a January problem as we all look to prioritize those precious moments together instead.
Our Christmas ad really brings to life this ‘tools down’ mentality to prioritize enjoyment during the festive period, while also embodying our brand ethos of being ‘thirsty for more,'" Steven Hind, Pepsi MAX's senior marketing director of beverages UK and Western Europe, shared.
Sips & Bites Executive Creative Director Matt Watson reinforced these sentiments, by saying the campaign embodies the "It can wait" mentality and celebrates this "world left behind because we are going all in on fun and enjoyment."
By harping on the real dilemma of fulfilling to-do lists during the holiday season, Pepsi MAX hopes to resonate with its audiences and drive emotional engagement.
Not only that, it lets everyone know its unique brand identity by encouraging everyone to let loose and have fun this season.
Holiday Fun with Pepsi MAX
"Everything else can wait. It's Christmas after all." kickstarts in an empty office as an online meeting is nearing its end.
The next scene shows an empty gym, with an exercise ball rolling across the room like a tumbleweed.
Meanwhile, in the library, books are abandoned on desks as a printing machine churns out paper with no one manning it.
Viewers then find out where everyone actually is — at home with their friends, loved ones, and family playing games and opening gifts.
Amid all the fun are ice-cold cans of Pepsi MAX, ready to accompany everyone during the holiday season.
A Christmas decorative ball transforms into the Pepsi logo, as the advert concludes.
Recently, the soft drink giant went undercover to prove that burgers are always better enjoyed with Pepsi.
