Unilever haircare brand Nexxus has teamed up with American actress Lindsay Lohan in a nostalgic new campaign.
"The Style Swap" is marked by a one-minute spot where the "Freaky Friday" star taps into memorable characters she's played throughout her acting career and tries out each of their distinct styles.
It's a treat for fans of the actress, who will also find sweet little easter eggs throughout the short advert.
The new commercial showcases three products from Nexxus' versatile 11-piece Styling Line, including:

Lohan shared her thoughts working on the nostalgic campaign in a press release, which she sees as a "little love letter" to her fans who have made her characters more special and memorable for her:
"I bring all the tips and tricks I've learned throughout my career into my everyday life, and often find myself using my favorite looks from the past for inspiration. It's been so much fun revisiting the twins with NEXXUS for 'The Style Swap,' since they've always held a special place in my heart."
Jessica Grigoriou, Unilever NA Head of Beauty Marketing and Hair Care, expressed praise and gratitude for Lohan, calling her a "style icon:"
"What we love about 'The Style Swap' is that we were able to draw inspiration from some of Lindsay's most iconic characters, who each have their own distinct sense of style.
It's the perfect way to show how our Styling Line can help people achieve all different types of looks and transform themselves into whoever they want to be."
Nostalgia marketing has been on the hot seat for the past couple of months, with many brands tapping on old trends and moments in pop culture to create emotional engagement with their audiences.
Nexxus is no different, taking a trip down memory lane and bringing back Lohan's iconic characters as part of its brand marketing strategy.
A Blast from the Past
"Nexxus xx Lindsay Lohan Present Style Swap" kickstarts with Lindsay in her dressing room, deciding on a look.
"I'm feeling twin-spired. But, as I always say, let the hair decide," she tells herself.
Fans of "The Parent Trap" will quickly recognize her first and second look, as she dresses as the twins Hallie Parker and Annie James, both played by herself.
In her first look, she goes for a prim and proper look of Annie, with slicked-back hair thanks to Nexxus Slick Stick. Lohan lets out a British accent as a funny little Easter egg.

For her second look, the actress dons big, wavy hair, courtesy of Nexxus XXL Volume Medium Hold Hairspray, reminiscent of the laidback nature of Hallie.
Finally, Lohan dons soft, wavy hair similar to her stepmother in "Parent Trap," Meredith Blake. To achieve this look, she used Nexxus' Repair & Nourish Ultra Lightweight Hair Oil.
"Brat summer is over. Flawless fall is now," she tells the viewers.
Her companion pops up, sporting a very casual look, saying that they're just going to the grocery store, in shock at Lohan's luxurious look.
"Darling, always live like the cameras are watching," Lohan says with a smile as the spot ends.
Despite Lohan's bout with bad publicity over the years, she has come back with a vengeance.
Premium iced tea brand Pure Leaf also teamed up with the actress for its latest campaign promoting tea breaks.
