Nike is teaming up with the Wu-Tang Clan to rerelease one of the brand's most iconic sneaker collaborations of all time.
Launching 25 years after the 1999 limited release, the Nike x Wu-Tang Clan Dunk features the original "Killa Beez" color scheme and the legendary hip-hop group's W logo embroidered on the tongue and heel.
A new campaign celebrates the shoe's launch, featuring Wu-Tang Clan leader RZA and New York Knicks players Josh Hart, Jalen Brunson, and Mikal Bridges.

Formed in Staten Island, New York City in 1992, Wu-Tang Clan rose to the top with hit after hit, gaining recognition as one of the greatest hip-hop groups of all time.
Inspiring a cultural phenomenon with their showmanship, kung-fu flair, and hard-hitting lyrics, the group's influence can still be felt in the worlds of music, fashion, film, and art.
RZA emphasized the sneaker's significance in a press release, pointing out the group's widespread cultural impact:
"For many years, the sneaker world was reserved for athletes and some entertainers, and Nike recognizing us in this way is a testament to hip-hop and our contribution to culture.
The shoe has already carved out a legacy as a silhouette people were striving to possess, and now thousands of people will have a chance to own a pair. These sneakers are a trophy.”

This release also pays tribute to the history of the Nike Dunk, a basketball shoe that transcended the court and entered the world of skateboarding before eventually evolving into the streetwear icon it is today.
The coveted sneakers will be available globally starting November 9 on the SNKRS app and at selected retail locations.
Successful brand partnerships can withstand the test of time, and Nike relaunching the Wu-Tang Clan Dunk sneakers after 25 years is a testament to this.
This is also one of the reasons why brands collaborate with celebrities, which are brand names in themselves. They not only serve to widen and diversify audience reach through their fans but also elevate a brand's identity.

Wu-Tang Forever
A new 30-second spot dubbed "Tiger Style" opens in a back lot somewhere in New York, where three NBA stars walk up to an ice cream truck.
There, the trio of Knicks order ice cream cones from a hilariously kooky ice cream man with a heavy New York accent.

Hart, dressed in a black and yellow Wu-Tang Clan jacket, orders a "sundae with a honey twirl, tiger style," doing a kung-fu hand gesture as an old-school sound effect plays in the background.
The spot ends with Brunson bumping into Hart, causing him to dramatically drop his ice cream next to his new Wu-Tang Clan Dunks.
Earlier this week, Josh Hart and Jalen Brunson also starred in a new campaign for DoorDash, renewing the NBA and WNBA's partnership with the delivery platform.
