Richard Karn is turning your garage into the ultimate dad zone.
For Father’s Day, Natural Light is giving handy dads a new reason to hang out in the garage, and it's coming with beer holders and a dartboard.
In a tongue-in-cheek infomercial featuring the '90s sitcom icon and DIY legend, the beer brand has launched the "ToolBar," a foldable workbench that transforms into a post-project hangout station.
Designed with “Murphy bed” mechanics, the ToolBar flips down into a functional workspace, complete with a pegboard and surface for tools and repairs.

Fold it back up, and the bench reveals a full-blown mini man cave: built-in dartboard, drink holders, and all.
“This Father’s Day, we wanted to give handy dads a space-saving setup where they can knock out a project or kick back a cold one with a friend,” said Krystyn Stowe, head of marketing for Busch Family & Natural Family at Anheuser-Busch.
The ToolBar reflects its fan base’s lifestyle:
- 94% of its drinkers in top-selling markets are hands-on DIYers
- 83% of them celebrate a job well done with a Natural Light
Karn, known for his role as Al Borland on "Home Improvement," undoubtedly fit the brief. Plus, it's not his first time working with Natural Light.

In a statement, Karn emphasized the importance of a dad having his own workspace at home.
“I’ve spent a good chunk of my life in garages — fixing stuff, building stuff, occasionally losing my favorite wrench for a few days,” Karn joked in the campaign.
“But I draw the line at sacrificing my man cave.”
Choosing the right influencer means aligning your brand with someone whose values and presence naturally earn trust, making every impression more authentic and memorable.
It’s not just about visibility; it’s about making sure the brand is recognized for what it wants to stand for.
From Workbench to Beer Bench
The campaign’s centerpiece is a parody infomercial hosted by Karn, shot in the style of retro DIY shows.
In it, Karn walks viewers through the ToolBar’s features, flipping the bench up and down to demo its dual function.
"This Father's Day, get your pops the ultimate DIY dad gift," he tells the viewers.
This Father’s Day, upgrade the garage with something that works as hard as Dad...

The spot closes with a giveaway promo: one lucky fan will win the ToolBar by following Natural Light on social media and commenting on a post by June 15.
For those who don’t win but want to build their own, the beer brand also uploaded a downloadable DIY manual on its website.
The ToolBar follows in the footsteps of other quirky Natty inventions like the "Neighborator."
It was last year’s custom beer fridge designed to sit on a fence and connect backyards.
Our Take: Purpose Meets Personality?
Overall, these playful stunts reflect the brand’s continued focus on relatable, functional fun for its audience.
This is one of those times when the brand ambassador feels perfectly aligned.

Karn isn’t just a nostalgic face, he’s a symbol of hands-on, humble expertise.
And in a time when brand purpose can feel overly scripted, this feels more grounded.
If the goal is to celebrate dads who do it all, Natty’s choice of partner and product delivers on that promise without trying too hard.
Meanwhile, White Claw recently tapped comedian Caleb Pressley for a campaign addressing friends who flake on summer plans.
