Iconic British car producer MINI Cooper just launched an exciting spot to promote the performance, agility, and heritage of the MINI John Cooper Works (JCW) model.
Helmed by award-winning creative agency Anomaly London in partnership with renowned global production company Stink Films, the initiative is marked by a 45-second video and three 15-second long spots shot through Mexico City.
The "Grab the Corners" campaign features film, photography, digital activations, and a cameo from Charlie Cooper, grandson of the original car’s creator, John Cooper.
With one of the key slogans being "THE ICON RETURNS," the assets capture the brand's racing roots as it showcases the MINI JWC smoothly tackling sharp corners, a nod to its six-decade legacy of incredible cornering performance.
“The campaign — Grab the Corners — showcases the uniqueness of the new John Cooper Works models and goes back to John Cooper — a sports car constructor who converted a Mini into a racing car," the brand said in a press release.
This mini won the Rally Monte Carlo in 1964. During the conversion, John Cooper focused — in contrast to his competitors — not on optimizing speed on straight routes, but on cornering behavior," said MINI Cooper.
On top of the modern feel and dynamic cinematography, the new integrated campaign serves as a reminder that this DNA is still part of the MINI John Cooper Works family today while propelling the brand into its electric future.

With a gritty British voiceover and rugged soundtrack, the campaign is designed to resonate with MINI fans, emphasizing community and the excitement of driving a JCW.
The film begins with the MINI JCW swiftly darting through the lively streets of Mexico City, showcasing its ability to hug every corner with ease and precision.
As the camera follows the car’s every move, it captures not just a vehicle, but a machine that feels connected to the road, instinctively adapting to each twist and turn.
The voiceover embodies the resilience and passion of MINI drivers, adding a motivational layer to the experience. The soundtrack pulses in the background, raising the adrenaline as the car maneuvers through the city seamlessly.
The special appearance by Charlie Cooper adds a heartfelt touch, linking the modern JCW to its storied past.
As the film closes, the car speeds into the horizon, symbolizing MINI’s thrilling leap into the future, embodying its heritage and evolution toward a high-performance electric era.
The campaign started worldwide on October 14 and local launches are expected to follow in key markets over the next weeks and months.
